Haha. Now you know my pain living in the US. Most European F1 races start at like 4 in the morning where I live! Finally I can watch this race because it will be at 10 on Saturday night

Grrrr stupid time zones lol...

Holy crap, Albers is in 2nd. Man, that is impressive!

Very interesting grid. This will be a very interesting race. No luck for McLaren though. Bad weekend gets worse.

Don't forget that Raikonnen also loses places due to it's engine change, so the weekend for McLaren is even worse.

Either it is going to pay off or I'm screwed.
Seeing as Ralf qualified 1st.. eh you're screwed, might as well admit it.

On the other hand, seeing as how Montoya I think will start 17th and Raikkonen 20th, well I'm screwed (McLaren fan that is). :guilty:

Holy heck, Batman! That's the strangest qualifying grid I've ever seen for F1!!! Has everyone stopped racing because it's the end of the season, or did it suddenly rain during the end of qualifying?!?

Yeah, the rain hit hard at the end of quali… it sucks, but it will make an interesting race as both McLarens work there way through the field. Hopefully it’s wet 👍

Chances are Ralf, Fisi, or Button will win this race – but really, if it rains hard then everything is up in the air.

This will certainly tip the constructors in favour of Renault.

EDIT – This is how wet it was:

And then things got even scarier after the session:

I watched the qualifying on TV. By the time Alonso hit the track, it was pouring. They showed his top mount camera view, and you couldn't see the corse, at all. You could only see the side rumble strips for about 10 yards ahead.

At least Fisi is near the top. Lucky.

Hmmm...Ralf in 1st, Jenson 2nd, Fisichella 3rd, McLarens in the back, Rain tomorrow...

Its gonna be one heck of a race :dopey: !

Apparantly it will be a dry race tomorrow.

Start thinking up your captions now, I reckon this will be next week's entry in Bee's competition!

Wow Button might actually be looking at his first win in 99 races.. i hope he does it, this place will be jumping i tell you.

Ha ha ha McMercs are not having the best of it this season are they!? Alonso has suffered too though so thts ok... just a bugger about Fisi, he could spring a surprise or two.

Should be an entertaining race, one worthy of getting up at 5am for.
:grumpy:

Looks interesting, I gotta check what time the race will be on here. Probably at 2 am....

I don't know, the McLarens can make there way up the field pretty well as has been seen before. I don't know if Alonso can do the same.

Well remember Australian GP? Alonso started 13th and finished 3rd, i think that shows he can too lol

When DC went out for qualifying, I was litterally shocked at how much water came up in the rooster-tail.

I fell asleep after Doornbos made his lap, though.

  Monteiro beached his car.....On his out-lap!!

watching quali right now 👍

wow! did you see how much water the Mclarens and Alonso were throwing up?? especially Alonso on the straight, amazing!

Why didnt Montoya bother setting a time??

GT_Fan2005
I wonder why montoya didnt set a time:D rain maybe:D?

yea but the finish line was soooo close, he could have been in front of Trulli and Monteiro if he just went those extra 100m...

Maybe his "Monty-sense" was tingling and it gave him the vision of his engine blowing if he kept on going...
