Dude there is no way you will be able to pass a drifter if he is able to keep the inside line... not unless your car is an MR or has grippier tyres... 👍
there is only one kind of overtake i like the most, when you are close enough to the car leading, at the transaction, if you do the transition just a mili-second before he does it you can overtake him. but its kinda hard to accomplish.

Srry, but the guy (or girl) overtaking in that gif just quit drifting, then passed the other car letting it bump into him (or her) and then started drifting again... Not a clean "drifting" pass in my opinion... But who's interested in that right?
