ia license

In fact thinking about this I found that the IA license test are the ones that helped me the most to learn how to be smooth and fast in GT3. The b, a and ib licenses were more like little tricks you had to deal with to learn, they helped alot no doubt the the IA wraps it all together and applies those skills from the first three tests.

The S license is the same way, though it can become a pain in the butt after while to get all golds but it really makes you apply all those skills.

Again, stick to it, it will come.

IMO the only really hard test to gold in I-A is I think test 6, the slalom test where you have all driver aids active.
I agree. That was the worse test of the entire game! That one was such a pain in the ass, I never liked using the Rufs after that one. The next test, with traction control turned off, I got gold on the first try.

Made light work of those first time in about 30 mins. No probs, all bronze obviously. Just love those Complex string tests :)

yes, s-8 is the hardest test of any IMO, closely followed by s-2 i think, (whichever one the GT40 seattle was), but doing the liscenses will really make you a better driver, I remember having a lot of trouble with the s liscense test my first game, but now since then it's 1-3 tries apiece to bronze it.

S-8 is not exactly that hard, i can get silver within a few shots, being about .2 of a sec out of gold, but after that, it takes alot of demo watching to see where you can inprove and do better, i reckon s-2 is fairly ahrd aswell, took me half an hour to get silver, the hardest one i think is the viper on laguna seca(s6 i think) i can only manage bronze on that, all the others i can get silver or gold

My friend did most of my licenses for me.

I'm trying to do my S license now. The VIper on Seca was a *****. Took me an hour. I can't remember the two that I did within half an hour. But I did 'em alright. Xd

Are you doing your S licenses with manual? If not, I recomend you do, its way easier.:)

It all comes down to time really. I was bored the other day, sitting around the house by myself - which hardly ever happens - and decided to do the license tests again. I got gold on most in three or four attempts. Back when I first got GT3 it took me waaaaay longer. You just have to know how the car behaves. A good example is IB6 and IB7. Same car, same track, but one with traction, one without. It takes time to get the feel for the car. I agree about using manual though. I always use manual trans.

Another thing to do if you're stuck is post your sector times (on longer tests). Sometimes other guys can see where you're losing time and point out what mistakes you might be making or corners you might take (or gears you might use or revs you might make etc...) differently.

And to Polarbear...come on man. Do your own tests. Your friend doesn't race for you does he? You'll only get better by going for gold yourself. 👍
