Nurburg, Germany. "Nuff said".

You might wanna say abit more than that though,I don't find anything interesting about monaco or dubai at all

At least Monaco's got a bit of history with the palace and you can pretend to be Senna going through the tunnel (even at 10% of the speed, in a tourist ride). I can't understand the appeal of Dubai though.

I'd like to visit Kong Kong, India and do a US road trip.

EDIT:

Nurburg, Germany. "Nuff said".

And that, of course:cool:

Nürburg is definitely my dream vacation spot. I was actually in Munich for five days a couple summers back, but never made the trek to the 'Ring. I get mad every time I think about it. :grumpy:

Nürburg for obvious reason, Russia because it looks cool, Dubai and Tokyo for the cars mostly, and California is just a nice place.

When I dream of holiday one of the last places I consider is Germany. I've been there, it doesn't overly wow me.

As for a dream vacation? Reykjavík in Iceland has always been a place I've wanted to see. French Polynesia wouldn't be half bad either.

Orkney, Shetlands, Skye. So beautiful and peaceful.

EDIT: Iceland is very nice too, if you don't mind the paint-stripping sandstorms and sudden blizzards when out on the flatlands.

Germany is for driving through only. And probably the ring, but I haven't tried it..

The US for sure, crossing the country (happens in September). I wanna drive to the Sahara desert "because it's there". And I wanna drink a Malibu in the French Polynesia or the Caribbean - actually, that's gotta be my dream vacation. Or maybe Lord Howe Island in the Oceania :)

Wow, I started writing this post before the dude above me posted his, I guess both of us has the Sahara nailed :) Although I'd do it in a lowered car, because it increases the amount of weirdness.

I'm up for going to New Zealand, I've heard Montenegro is nice and I obviously want to go to the Nurb.
"Nuff said?"

If you like the beach it's all about Grand Cayman.

North Dakota is where it's at.

How many other places can you go from 95°F in August to -60°F in February and sandwich in torrential downpours, blizzards and tornado in between? It's like the best of everything! 👍

Well, you won't sink as deep into the sand, that's for sure ;)

Isle of Man. Fantastic place - like a mini Ireland with some brilliant roads and lovely places to visit.

Other than that, dunno. Quite like Northern Ireland, but that's just me being strange. And I've always quite fancied going somewhereorother in the US, but I don't quite know where to start.

Agreed.

Seems a lot of people just want to go to places for the cars.

If you have a week off where you need to relax, then rural Arkansas is really nice. It feels great when you get out there, and then when you're ready to come home on the last day, you're ready to come home.

Minnesota:sly: Plus we actually have stuff to do here.

Back on topic, I feel I can only talk about places I have been.

Paradise Island, Bahamas (2002): Very fun and since the islands are so small you can easily walk from one side to another. It is also fairly cheap to take a boat to another island and do some snorkeling (they also had a buffet at the island and was included). We also took a boat ride to the market theynhave on the main island which although packed (The building that normally was used was under repair at the time since a hurricane had hit recently so there was just like an open air market) had plenty of good deals since the vendors were virtually fighting to get your attention.

Jamaica (2004): Well it was hot & humid there once we got to the hotel it was just a blast. We walked down to a market and got some cool stuff for cheap. The food there was awesome and I fell in love with Jerk Chicken. If I go back(which I plan on doing) I would like to see some other parts of the island since I didn't get to do a whole lot of that.

I'm a Miami man.

  • Hot weather? Check.
  • Topless beaches? Check.
  • Endless supercar spots? Check.
  • Excellent night life, dining, and shopping? Check.

The only problem is that you have to be in Miami.

There's tons of vacation spots everywhere, but staying inside Arizona is a lot of fun.

Of course you've got the Grand Canyon, then you've got the little towns with tons of cabins.

  • Pinetop/Show Low/Lakeside
    Flagstaff
    Prescott
    Alpine
Probably a lot more but those are just off the top of my head

Arizona's great. You've got Mountains, Deserts, and Pines all packed into one state! In the winter time, you can go an hour north from where I live and get snow when it's 60-70 degrees here.

Miami sucks. It's only good if you like drugs.

the 2 places I have always wanted to go to, all the rich :censored:s are there. as a bonus, Olivier Berreta lives in Monaco:tup:. Dubai, thats that, they also have a racetrack, and I like tracks.

Even though I live in the wonderful city of Indianapolis, and do enjoy going to the Speedway... There are three places that I like going to for vacation...

Foley, AL/Gulf Shores, AL/Orange Beach, AL: The drive is basically hop on I 65, and drive like hell... get off Exit 37 in AL for the Gulf Shores Pwky.... and follow the signs to Gulf Shores. My parents have house there in Foley (only a few miles away), and its not far from the beach. Nice place to go to and a nice to place to get away from the big city life.

Angola, IN: Where I used to live... Quiet, peaceful, from my house I can see the fireworks during Fourth of July and drink a beverage of the adult variation without ticking off anyone.. etc... If I want to go to the Pokagon State Park, I can...

Northern Michigan from Lansing to Canadian Border (especially from Houghton Lake to Gaylord to the Bridge and anything in the UP of MI)... Starting in Lansing and going up US 27 is just a Freaking Awesome drive (ok starting in US 20/US 127 intersection outside of Fayette, OH (after I left Angola) and riding up to Lansing to the North would be a more Freaking Awesome cruise.) Anyway, why I love it? It so breathtaking and surprising that there are such beautiful places in a short distance.. and some people DON'T even know where they are.... some even within one to three tankfuls at the most in almost half the cars in the land....

The point I'm trying to make is this... you don't have to go far to see something different and beautiful.. for me none of these trips are over 1000 miles away and I don't have to fly.:sly::dopey: Randy

I never understood the appeal of Florida or Hawaii. It's hot, and there are beaches. And it's a tourist magnet. That just doesn't really sound like someplace I'd want to go.

I'm with Joey on going to Iceland. I also went to the Massif Central in France a few years ago and enjoyed that, so I'd do that again. And while I'm there I wouldn't mind doing the car tour in Germany, Wolfsburg included.

Although for me the top of the list is this:

CA00956.jpg

I want to climb it and hike around it before I die. I just feel like it's something I have to do being the "outdoorsy type" and having grown up seeing it every day that it isn't cloudy.

Ireland is my Destination of Choice, I LOVE the green, and the castles and the Blarney Stone.... all so wonderful.

As well I have a great friend in Scotland, so there would be nice too. but i like warm places with palm trees too. (my favorite tree as a matter of fact) so its a tough choice....

i think ill go with castles!

Ding ding ding ding. That's why you might as well go to the Caymans or something. Florida is nice in the Keys but otherwise it's just another bunch of cities.

Night life that's probably expensive, stalking celebrities and rich people to see them showing off in their expensive cars and going to topless beaches to see titties because you seldom see them.. Sounds like fun :)

Yummy:
