If Final Fantasy 7 came out for the PS3 would you buy it?

If FF7 came out on PS3 would you buy it?

No, not my kinda game...at all.

Would you guys really buy a game with teh same story line and just better graphics or would you expect new storyline (or just slightly modified) and weapons etc.
 
I'd expect the gameplay to be updated a bit and better graphics, maybe extra sub quests a few new materia to find and one or two weapons for each charater maybe. But I wouldn't want them to touch the main storey, it's fantastic. Other than updating the graphics and adding a few more sub quests, theres not much else to do to improve the game, it's just adding new content rather than changing whats already there cos thats already good enough.

yep indeed. loved FFVII and IX but never got round to playing any of the other games.

last time i saw one in the states it was 5 bucks i think its about the same price as euros. it was also used, or new cant remember.

Haha, i'm in the middle of playing FFVII (for the uh, well i've lost count) at the moment. So yes I would.

I think there isn't much chance of seeing a remake though.

Although I agree with you too, but I still think it would be wise if Square-Enix does make a remake of Final Fantasy VII. From what I see around in many forums and game magazines, FFVII is the most popular out of all the other final fantasy. Just making a remake with updated graphics would STILL sell INCREDIBLY WELL!

I would buy that game right on the spot, although Final Fantasy X is my favorite out of all of them. I wouldn't care if SE didn't add anything new on the gameplay and such. Just remake another with PS3 capability, make tons of money, and be proud Square-Enix! :O 👍
 
I loved FF7 just a bit more than 8 which would also be a great release on PS3. The trailer reminded me of Advent Children, is that coming out in England on DVD?

Advent Chidren is coming out in Japan and US on 9/14. Check IGN.com for more details. I'm not sure about england thouhg
 
I'd definitely check it out. It's been ages since I last played FFVII.

The weird thing is, I absolutely hate all other RPG games but love this one.
 
I would only buy FF7 on PS3 if everything is updated, if it's practically the same game with only better graphics here and there I wouldn't buy it. It would definitely need some extras and maybe a slightly expanded storyline for me to buy it. I rather see an all new Final Fantasy though, which is better than FF7.

Other FF may have been a better overall game. But none were as fun as FF VII. I think that's mainly because of the initial shock value. But also because the story was very movie like.
 
HELL YEAH!!! cause it's the best graphic game in PS1 so I think it will be the best graphic game in PS3 :) and I like the storyline (sp?)

Not sure if FF7 had the best graphics in the PS1 but in the PS3 it would have absolutely the best graphics that it would feel like a whole new game.

but then there wouldn't be any Cloud, Airith, Cat Sith, Tifa, Barret, Yuffie, Cid. The only one that we know servived is Red Xlll. this knocked out pretty much the whole favorite group.
 
The others survived too, Red XIII was the only one still alive 100 years later thats all.
