If you complete GT4:P is there a prize thing for GT4?

If you complete GT4:P is there a prize thing for GT4?

Cos I read at the official GT website that theres "an incentive that will give players a head start at GT4".

Is this true? And if so.....does anyone know what it is?

It's a few minute long "Coming Soon!" video of GT4, it's already been linked at in the postie-threads in the GT4 section. This is the same video showing the R34 Skyline flying around the Nürb in a few clips.

Honestly nothing special.

I've completed the game and i aint seen anything 💡

It might mean that you get the feel of gt4 as in the grafics and the big difference in handling on cars e.t.c towards gt3 this game gt4p is a lot different 👍
But other people may say the opposite :)

There is talk that you can import all or some of your licence times from GT4:P into GT4...

How this works and what licences will remain after this import is obviously yet to be decided...

I suspect that it will be something to do with the amount of points that you have in GT4:P will mean something in GT4...

Although we've been told there is an incentice... we don't know what it is yet!!

Maybe the cars you win in Prologue will be available in GT4. Or perhaps the points you gain in the school section of prologue will be transfered to credits for when you buy your first car in GT4?

I doubt the cars will be given to you in GT4... Unless you mean unlocked in Arcade mode?

Perhaps the points will be credits but that's not a whole lot of an advantage (I think the most someone here has is just over 10,000 points?!)

That will still be twice as much as what you start with normally - the difference between starting with a PT Cruiser and something half decent

I think they will stick with tradition and when you fire up GT4 you'll find the first quarter or half of the licence tests will be all 'bronzed'. Maybe a little extra cash but i doubt that, and i also really doubt that you will get a bonus car - wouldn't be fair on the Americans then...

Getting Bronze: That would be like getting next to nothing, since i expect at least the majority of this community going for all the golds. So, you will have to do the gt4 test again anyway....

Extra cash: This what I would like to see as the bonus, as KY said: "a head start", meaning the cash to buy the car with that little extra Ooomph to start the game with.

We'll see........

Bronze would be naff...

I'd be miffed if I did all that work to get all golds for some measly bronze licences!!

I like the idea of putting the points towards extra starting credits.

But I'd blow it all on tires... :indiff:

"an incentive that will give players a head start at GT4".
Isn't KY just talking about "experience" here...?
After all, that's what Prologue is all about: a training to get you prepared for GT4.

All the cars you unlock in GT4 Prologue will be putted in GT4 if you have a GT4 Prologue save. And I think that you will have some extra money, the pionts you get in the school mode will be your extra money in GT4 I think.

Where did you get this?

I don't think it would be fair and to be honest I don't believe it will happen.

Whatever it turns out to be I wont take the eventual advantage. I want to complete gt4 from scratch.

But if it gives you access to something you'll never be able to unlock in gt4 it's another issue.

What about the USA and other countries that didn't get Prologue?

Nah, I don't believe it will happen.

I can see most of the tests being passed with whatever award you have... plus those cars being unlocked in Arcade...

Maybe even points=money...

But I defs don't think there will be secret stuff that you have to have Prologue for... They would have told us that before as a marketing gimmick to sell more prologues!!

The same kind of thing happened with GT:C. Except that was released after GT3. If you completed GT:C you got 10 million creds and all bronze in licenses.

I think teh same type of thing, but not so extreme, might happen with GT4:P/GT4. On teh otehr hand, they might be on about experience with teh new physics, but even that isn't complete in GT4:P from what I read.

Personally I think it will be similar to GT to GT2, with the licences transfered from Prologue to GT4.

That would suit me fine, don't fancy having to do the tests twice. :ouch:

That is exactly what i meant Scaff - the whole point being that you don't have to pass the early licence tests (say if you wanted to do a race but needed a beginners or whatever licence first) because they will already be completed - albeit in a bronze medal (even if you have gold in Prologue).

They have done this over that last few games and i haven't heard any complaints...

The reason why you get $10m in Concept is because the game itself doesn't allow spending of currency - so they help you out with GT3 instead.

It will not be fair on the Americans/Canadians etc if Prologue unlocks special stuff and it will not be fair on us in the PAL zone if the Americans etc get something we don't.

Hi guys....I'm new to this place but haver been a GT fan since number 1 all those years ago :)

Ok, so I have completed all the lessons in GT4:P, albeit not all at gold level, and there still seems to be at least 4 cars left to unlock. Can anyone tell me how I get these last few cars ? I'm thinking that maybe completing all lessons at gold level would do something :scared: If this is the case, I'd best get practicing again :)

Thanks,

Rob.

That's it. Get gold in all lessons and coffee breaks.

You get

Toyota MTRC - All gold Green Section
BMW M5 Concept - All gold Orange Section
Mistubishi I - All gold Blue Section
Suzuki 2 - All gold Red Section
Honda HSC - All gold Purple Section

The trickiest tests to look out for to get gold on are Lesson 6, Lesson 7, Lesson 13 & Lesson 24.

(All the purple tests take a little longer to get Gold on... I think from experience the hardest is Lesson 35 (McLaren F1 Pole Position) and Lesson 39 (Ford GT - NY Time Trial)...

I'm one away from getting the HSC... and it's the Ford GT one last... So close... yet so far!!

Once I've got that beast I will attempt to tidy up the coffee breaks which I've so far got 1 gold, 1 silver and the rest bronze!!

I personally don't think anyone would give a crap if Europeans would start of with more cars in their garage than Americans.

The reason that there will not be free cars in your gt4 garage will be that, the whole concept of buying a cheap car and upgrading it, will be lost. What's the fun in having al those new cars in the beginning. It's like asking for cheats one day after you bought the game...

We're all talking here about "free" cars in the Arcade Mode only. Not in GT Mode.

Gold in coffebreaks gives you nada.
You're right. Sorry.

Guys,
Thanks for your prompt replies :)
No **** about lessons 6 & 7....I'm struggling to get anything better than a silver in those ! LOL

Oh well, looks like I'll be ensconsed with my PS2 for a bit yet.....but I have to admit, this is the nicest GT to date and I can't wait to get my mitts on GT4 and all those cars and tracks we're promised :)

Thanks again,

Rob.
