If you could have a toy car, what would it be?

An old Datsun 510 or TA22 Celica, with a 4ag in the celica and an sr20det in the 510.

I should smack you for that. Either a T series turbo or an 18R-G are the only true options for making that awesome. Let the 4A stick to Corollas and MR2s :p

Fox platform '87-'93 Mustang GT 5.0L. STICK.

I frown upon the people who can't drive a stick.

1980 Fairmont with a Turbo 2.3, T-56 6-speed, 1999, 2001, or 03-04 Mustang Cobra IRS, bit of tweaking out of Steeda or someone else's parts bin for both the front and rear suspension, and some nice 17x9's wrapped in 245/45's up front and 295/40's out back.

Epic sleeper if kept quiet. "Ah, it's just some guy in a Fairmont who thinks rims and a drop kit makes it fast", and then... That's the end of it for the other guy.

A TVR Chimera and run it into the ground.
Swap that for a Griffith and I'm there, not that I would turn down a Chimera, the Griffith just pips it. Absolutely amazing car.

Not all "fun" cars can be had with a manual trans.
You won't find a second or third gen T-bird so equipped.
If you do, It will be a three-on-the-tree (BTW, I frown on people who can't handle one of these).
But by the time you go 3-on-tree, you might as well have a C6 automatic.
Especially, if it has been reprogrammed with an OD.

If I were to go "modern", I'd like a '66 Mustang Notchback. With any of the available motors, including the 200Cid straight-six, with a three or 4 speed manual behind it.
Again, disc brakes, and "decent" seats would be a must.

Well, i do much prefere the Griff to the Chimera. But whilst 2nd hand Griff prices are starting to increase (£15k and upwards for a half decent useable one) Slightly ropey Chimeras are now begining to creep well under the £10k mark. They are essentially the same car (the Chimera is sprung slightly softer) - i'd want to look after a Griffith but wouldn't mind just thrashing a Chimera. ;)
