If you could have any car ever made... What would it be? I'm sure this has been discussed before but I figured I'd bring it up again.

RULES FOR YOUR ANSWER:
-No "I'd get a Bugatti and sell it and get 1000 of these". Pick a car.
-You may still own a daily driver, so don't worry about practicality.
-Your insurance and maintenance will be covered, so again don't make a decision on practicality.
-Most importantly, why would you want it?!

I personally would take the F40 LM because, well just look at it. :drool: It's the fundamentals of a perfect car for me.

A Subaru Impreza 22B-STi. Only 500 made, and it's the best car ever made in my opinion (although I know it's not..:p.)

'69 Boss 429. 800 or so built, nice motor, realy aggressive looking. I'd go with a truck but Mustangs are my favorite car. No trucks allowed.

A 1970 Mach 1 would suffice too.

I concur. It is probably the one car I've been obsessed with for most of my life. Absolutely beautiful.
 
That Carrera RS is tempting. Though I won't change my mind. Older Honda NSX, red, blacktop.

Shelby still builds those Cobras brand new. I have a dealership in and town and can walk out with an Eleanor GT500 or any Cobra I want. 427 S/C, 289, whatever I want.

They take an already astonishing MC Stradale and cut off it's lid. :drool: IMO - It's easily more beautiful than anything mentioned so far, and would take the prize for 'prettiest car' all-day long. Not too mention the fact it's bl**dy quick and has a Maserati Racing team-style bodykit. 👍

Very tough choice. For me it would be a Lamborghini Diablo (SV or roadster). I would upgrade its tecperformance. But I've always had a thing for Diablos. I love the LP670 SV because it reminds me of the Diablo a bit.

A supercharged 5.4L with more power and torque than the originals is sufficient enough.

If we're talking stock cars, that is. If I could have my way with a car as well and do anything with it, I might come up with something a little bit less... Ordinary.
 
This is tough. If we're talking as well as my current beloved Bruiser... I think it'd have to be this.

Easiest choice of my life. 1994 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (BNR32).

I have been in love with it since 2003 or so. There is nothing else like it. It's true what they say, beauty is often found in simplicity.

That was quite the bold statement to make in a discussion purely based on opinion. You couldn't have seriously thought that no one was going to make a remark about that.
 
Actually, I thought by now that people would be mature enough to not bring up every little thing people say on these hugely opinionated threads.

So, you can do one of two things:

1. Continue going off-topic and get nowhere fast. Or...

2. Get on with doing what the OP actually asks you to do, instead of desperately trying to mini-mod. 👍

In fact, I'll even edit my post, in a desperate attempt to stop this incessant whinging over nothing.
 
Meh, it does happen in every "what's your favourite car thread", it seems. And let's be honest, we'd all just be posting pictures if it didn't.
 
I would take the BMW M550d xDrive for these reasons:

  • The preformance can worry an M5.
  • It'll cross continents quickly and economically
  • It looks unassuming until you unleash that tri-turbo straight-six
  • Big torque
  • Cheaper to run than an M5.
  • The ultimate sleeper in my opinion.
 
My ultimate dream car : 3.1 Liter L28 Stroked, twin turbo, carburetor Devil Z. Imagining starting the engine with the smell of gasoline and turbo noise in the morning :O

You said it was easily more beautiful than anything mentioned, and would take the prize for 'prettiest car' all day long. That's like a big Eff You, my choice is better than yours. Of course someone's gonna call you out on it.

My choice would probably have to be a 450SEL 6.9:

The Boss 429 and Shelby Cobra are all well and good, and I would LOVE to have either one. But, if I could only have one car, and expense and practicality are not an issue, sign me up for a twin-turbocharged and supercharged Ford GT.
