If PD returned the 200+ A-Spec events missing from GT5, and you were able to progress logically without grinding for cash and could get all the B-Spec prize cars as rewards for A-Spec, would you play B-Spec as much, very little or not at all?

I wouldn't play B-Spec at all. I think it's stupid, to be honest. The only reason I'm playing it now is for the decent prize cars that are available.

More A-spec wouldnt affect my B-spec time much. Some nights I want to race and others I want to manage. I have found B-spec to be highly entertaining at times. I cant wait for the remote access.

Would only play A-spec, Even though im having a bit of fun with b-spec at the moment (lvl 23) there are times were I think to myself "wtf am I doing WATCHING a race". I think alot of people would feel the same way & are only really doing b-spec for car prizes.

Merge B-Spec with A-Spec again like in GT4.

Endurance races would then be possible to normal people with normal lives. B-Spec is tedious now, Kind of learned to eventually love it in GT4.

I would still play Bspec. I can't play A spec all the time so I enjoy completing Bspec events during that.

Hope they change Gt5... its getting kind of boring and A-spec was to easy, its a race game...bring the competition

If you had a cheat to unlock all cars would you bother playing A-spec? Or would you just take your 1000+ cars online or arcade mode?

I know what I would do...

If what the OP described was the case then B-spec would officially be rendered obsolete - I'd see no reason to ever go near it!

This.👍

But also this somehow.👍

b-spec is not playing. It's just a way of collecting credits and some cool/expensive/rare cars while leaving the PS3 on.

B-spec who, what's b-spec. Heck no I wouldn't. Only reason I do now is to attempt to get the trophy. But since Bob is not very cooperative without losing my mind, I stopped already. They should have implemented it like they did in GT4. It was way more accepted.

Agreed.👍

If they would allow you to save progress in the endurance races that would make me go back to a spec. There is no way I can comprehend sitting in front of the tv for 9 hours going around the same track...hence b spec has become quite popular for me.

^ +1
there should be a way at least to save at pitstop, the 9 and the 24hour are way too much.
Most people that play GT from GT1 are 30+years old now, there is no way i ever play this races.

In general B-spec is quite boring i would prefer more a-spec races like rally/wrc that is totally missing from this GT.

I only "play" B-Spec when I'm sleeping, as in I'll put my 4 Bobs in an endurance race, turn off the TV and go to sleep.

The rest of my time on GT5 is spent grinding Indy for cash to reach my 1000 cars milestone. More A-Spec would be a godsend

Never raced B-spec, never will. I buy these games to drive. If I'm not driving, I'm wasting my time.

Yes. Please do this. 👍

I'm getting kind of sick of people implying that people who do enduro's don't have normal lives.

Regardless, I'd probably play B-Spec just as much as I do now, which is to say maybe 1-2 races a day.

There are plenty of A-Spec events. Especially now that they have been continually adding more Seasonal Events. Online racing is essentially infinite.

It does feel good to be finished with B-Spec, though. :sly:

I don't play B-spec, never did in GT4, never will in GT5

Doesn't matter what prizes there are, I bought a wheel for a reason.

(that answear the question ? :sly:)

Bad mistake separating "B" - spec from "A" - spec and then more or less forcing people to play "B" - spec to get the most out of the game (credits etc.).

GT4 - had it right in this regards. However still really really need to be able to save on endurance races in pits or every 2 to 4 hours or something.

Also why in the world would they take out fast forward from "B"-spec mode

GT5 is Good (Well we can not really say that can we). It is okay at best with a few good moments here and there. It certainly does not make me feel the need to play the game every night. There is no excuse for how many things are just not right, especially from a game company of this caliber.

Oh well such is life. I have had to come to a very hard reality during the last 6 months that there are so many many more important things then playing a game every night.

It really makes you wonder if anyone really tested the simulation mode and how everything works together.

Perhaps I am in a bad mood just got done paying some bills.

If there were more a spec events then yes my time would be surrounded more around the a spec events as there would be more to complete. As there are only so many events, after beating all of them, the normal person moves on to more events, which in this case is b spec. But with more a spec events, the time in which one would transfer over would be greater, as it would most likely take longer to compete the added or longer events of a spec.

Speak for yourself, sir.

There, that's better.

Nobody is forcing anything on anyone. You could very easily and happily play GT5 to your heart's content without ever playing a single B-Spec event. It is separate so that you can avoid it entirely.

And your point on the credits? Many B-Spec Events (namely Endurance) earn you less credits than the corresponding A-Spec Events. If you want to talk credits/lap or credits/minute, B-Spec falls short every time.

Well, there's the question of many cars as B-Spec prizes, that without playing it, would put even MORE pressure on A-Spec grinding to buy (if you can even find them in the UCD). Personally, yes, I DO feel 'forced' to play B-Spec, although very begrudgingly.

200+ more A-Spec events would solve ALL that, though. I'd never touch it again as long as I live.:indiff:
