and you were given the choice to drive for any team, who would you drive for? I would drive for JGR.

id go for a hendrick based organization if i had the power to. So either HMS or SHR for me. Theres always talks of all the great stuff roush has, and while yes they do have great engines and chasis they are very hit or miss.

Well, since the cars are supposed to be even, does it matter? Hendrick is the most popular I hear...

I think you know my decision :lol::lol::lol::lol:

There is a lot more happening than just the cars, it's the team and the teammates, and the organization, I think the engines are different but not by much

In the end though, it's your driving style and ability to be flexible with that style and how well you perform with teammates and under pressure that decides where your NASCAR career goes

Hendrick - Probably the best equipment and most consistent, but doesn't seem to be able to have a great amount of success outside the 24 and 48 cars.

Roush - Great equipment and great owner, rather inconsistent when it comes to performance though.

Penske - Good equipment, shaky when it comes to consistency, sometimes seems like Roger focuses to much on IndyCars.

Gibbs (My Choice) - Solid equipment, solid owner that seems to support each team equally.

RCR - See Roush.

I would drive for RCR because I live all of seven minutes away.

Theres quite a bit they are allowed to play with in constructing the cars. Mostly torsional rigidity but using different thickness tubes in key locations. any would be surprised how technical nascar really is.

Because it is sanctioned by Nascar and on a national scale is the same level as nascar cup series when all things are considered. Why diminish what people post?

His post had absolutely nothing to do with the topic at had. That's why.

It had a "NASCAR sucks" vibe to it.

It's not that I don't like NASCAR. I'm all for any type of racing but NASCAR has just become so bland and many of the fans and popularity has drained away from it and one to different forms of racing. I know hardcore NASCAR fans that have now moved on to Formula 1 and The Rolex series liked I stated before.

Should of figured Hendrick Motorsports would be popular pick...I'm really surprised no one has picked Richard Petty Motorsports!

EDIT: Yates racing doesn't even exist anymore! lol

He never said that, so don't take things on such an emotional level or so personally. Plus as I said Nascar runs Rolex thus indirectly it is on topic.

Seriously, what does "I'd rather go to the Rolex series" have to do with picking a NASCAR team like the OP asked for?

Not a damn thing. :dunce:

Wow and what does you get in a huff about it have to do with it either? You could have simply ignored it. Right?:dopey:

Point is he was just saying I rather go to the other nascar sanctioned series instead of the cup. Don't really see much issue with his indirect comment.

It was rude, and that's the issue. Case closed.

To you? Yes. To all others? That's highly subjective. What case...quit taking things personal, if the user was flaming or trolling I could understand but having a valid opinion doesn't warrant your bias.

anyways I'm moving on, if you have issue with this and still want to argue it then pm me. This thread doesn't need mods due to a small disagreement.

Exactly, very well stated, I used to watch it every weekend that I wasn't racing and watch all 4ish? Hrs of it, now it's become more of a marketing franchise than a sport, and since I have started playing GT5, (and watching Topgear ) I have been more open to the entire world of cars and racing (now more to road course), I've even seen an australian V8 supercar race on TV, which I thought it was exciting in a different way

However NASCAR will most likely NOT be completely gone from my life, just probably less frequently watched, I liked the pre- chase for the cup era

Edit: (This post wasn't meant to be a negative- nascar sucks- statement)

My gut says HMS, but my heart says Penske so I can be team mates with BK and AJ.

I really hope this thread doesn't have to be shut down by mods...........

(that's just where I see this going all the sudden)
