I'm a little disappointed that there aren't more Mustangs in the game, considering how popular they are in the US. The 2000 Cobra R is a great addition to the game as a capable road-course car. But, there are quite a few different Mustangs from that same time that should have been added.
Starting with the code of the 2000 Cobra R (NA 5.4 dohc V-8), a 1999-2004 GT (NA 4.6 sohc V-8) and a 2003-2004 Cobra (supercharged 4.6 dohc V-8) would have been relatively simple to replicate, and would have added some good variety to the crop of cars.
A 96-98 GT (NA 4.6 sohc V-8) and 96-98 Cobra (NA 4.6 dohc V-8) would also be pretty similar, but different enough to warrant inclusion in the game.
I don't understand having an 05 and 07 GT, when there is no appreciable difference in the cars (much like the plethora of mostly-identical Skylines, NSXs, Civics, RX-7s, and Miatas). An 05 GT and an 07 Shelby GT500 would have been a much better combination.
A 1993 Cobra R would have been a fun car to try out also, and would give millions of Fox-body Mustang (1979-1993) owners something to represent their car.
