Race 04 Specifics:

  • The track border is the limit of the usable track .
  • The concrete areas beyond the rumble strips are considered part of the track .
  • Wall touches are prohibited no matter if time was lost or not. 100% clean please.
  • The use of the G25 Clutch is prohibited



Standard Clean OLR Rules:
  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with (when airborne)) the track at all times
  • rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • run-off areas are not part of the track
  • no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • no hybrids
  • no cheating of any kind
  • nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • save your ghost replay




Lap Time Submission:

Why we use GMT:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Replay Submission & Verification:

All drivers must save their replay and keep it at least two weeks after the deadline of this race.

  • all drivers are required to submit their replay upon submission of their lap time
  • only point scoring submissions and a select number of random submissions will need to be verified
  • It is the responsibility of all drivers & teams to carry out replay verification, and the outcome of the verification posted in the relevant results thread
  • any replays not verified within seven days after submission will be considered clean
  • GTP Race Admins replay verification decisions are final

cool combo Sphinx...did not race london reverse in a while,so i like it ,especially with the "swinging" lotus...:crazy:...lol.

lots better than the mitsu on eiger,that understeering/ coffeemashine sounding car never gave me any thrills whatsoever....

Nice choice, I have never really touched London reverse, plus London, will be an ideal test for me & my new wheel, with all the short straights and sharp turns.

I for example did not post because I did not want to spam forum with unnecessary posts... I posted as first person in Race2 topic because I like Eiger very much(and I did not make it to top 3 after all :( ), once again - we all see it but we just drive ;)

And one more thing - can I bother and by bother I mean can I make PAD users only stats for race 2 and race 1+2?....
I'm sorry for confusing everybody with my own overall stats (which turned out to be correct ... ;-) ), but PAD users only stats did not appear at all so maybe I could do it?...

An intriguing combination tho for sure. Never turned a wheel round London reverse, and in a lotus? hmm. I can tell I will need acclimatising ! Glad there's no damage in the game yet, is all I can say ! 👍

was still breaking my thumbs on race 2, not even looked at race 3, although i was a late entry to these events

This will sort the men from the boys - which probably explains why I'm currently bottom of the GTRP database leaderboard :dopey:

It's just so easy to brush a wall & bin the lap. A good challenge 👍
 
Jerry this sounds interesting, will be hard trying to get in top 7 GTP, very unknown track for me.

yeah this event is really great...the first time i went flat out thru the fast left/right corner i allmost screemed!!!....wow,top job everyone!!...

just one thing though:sometimes if you ever so slightly touch the wall you dont hear the "tsssch" sound!!so be carefull everybody to dubbelcheck your fastest laps at the end of this round!!!i just did a lap were i whas pretty confinced it whas clean,but after checking i saw a tighny little hit in the first corner,wich i never noticed when i whas doing the lap itself!!!!....

generally i can immediately tell if the car glances off the wall, as i used full feedback steering settings (simulation steering) makes it easier to identify wall hits while driving;)
 
i know holl01,i also use the same settings,but this being the first streat race combo i wanted to make sure everybody dubble checks their replays not to be disq at the end by the slightest touch of the wall on their ultimate lap they practiced for hours and hours...:sly:
imagine you just missed it and get kicked out...:scared:

as i wrote before,not always you hear the "tssch" sound when the touch is very very little...

anyway,just a reminder/warning to all of us...:sly::):)👍

Current results clearly shows that GTP players are trying their very best to score points for GT Planet. We are overall 2nd in place! 👍

My first time on London reverse and the 11r. Feeling a bit like a pinball right now.
 
I love this combo. I've done it before the update and on Suzuka with the Elise 96, I don't think you can go wrong picking a non-tuned Elise, it's such fun.

Total opposite for me with the Clio V6 lump at Suzuka East. I love the S curves with the NSX, Elise, F430, etc but I'm not getting the Clio at the moment.

personally, the Clio isn't in my fav. list
 
I'm not really a fan of street circuits but I've enjoyed getting to know this one better tonight - mainly due to the car I think. Down to 56.3 now and can see another couple of tenths but after that I might have to check out holl01's lap for some pointers. :bowdown:

Compared to the current WRS combo (and anyway) I really enjoy this combo. Apparently London Reverse has a totally different rhythm than Forward ??? Also the car is very intriguing compared to the Mini that only spins if you throttle too hard. Currently I am using mild steer assist but no ASM or TCS.

I just had a few laps, great fun, I dont really know London reverse as well as I should, so this is perfect to learn, feels great in the 111R. Awesome little car. :sly:
 
wow, this is a challenge for sure, especially since I have never run London reverse! then throw in a MR car
and it's bottom of the board for me. I can't imagine running flat out through the left-righty section. That's what everyone's doing? damn. :)

edit: managed to get through that section flat out but still loosing time there due to my squirrelly line. So I see it's possible but I must learn to control this little beast.

edit again: haha, this thing is a blast, tough to tame but having plenty of fun getting there. 👍

This was a nice challenge for learning how to drive the Lotus. Think I maybe can shave off a few tenth of a second in the coming days. But hell , what a fun car to drive.

Well, if I'm now not get a few points ... Definitely tried my best now, I'm off for some R&R at the no mercy Suzuka
