This is so much harder than it first seems. Yeah the car is great and the track is fun, but out of something like 50 attempts to get a clean lap I must have registered maybe 5?

Very challenging indeed, that full speed left-right near the end is completely unforgiving if you miss the racing line by an inch...and the GT driving line appears to be for a completely different car!

Good to see you back. Though now I'm a bit worried if my time is good enough for a top position.
Was a bit of grumpyin' around about the new online events and went to the IFTC timetrials for some R&R. And to my surprise had a good one :)
Me happy :)

Deleted my entry, checked the best lap , but it does say 55.028.
Don't even have a saved replay with that 0.55.762 on the PS3 :scared:
So zipped the best lap again now and uploaded it to the DB.
Feel free to check, because it is strange...

I will give that combo last one chance today. I like it but I got mad because out of checkpoint times I see I could do a 1s faster lap than my current lap ! And I'm not able to put all those checkpoints together in one lap :/ Once I have very good first sector I start to be very very nervous and I loose it on a left hander after T1 ... :/ Any advice how to get over that behavior ?...

I find my best laps come when I'm not looking at the splits to see if I'm up or down and I'm not thinking about it too much. Just relax and enjoy yourself.
 
Replay added, didn't have it in me to learn the combo any better.. :( One session of this was plenty. :)

56.0 is a good time for one session, Timo... I ran 100 laps straight last night trying to beat my 56.291, but couldn't get turn 1 and the S turn right in the same lap.

Absolutely true, I gave myself 45 mins today to improve but decided I wasn't going to use a ghost, just have fun. Bam, 0.7 improvement. Still 2 seconds off mind :)

Yep, indeed its quite a tight leaderboard, i ran alot of laps to try and get an ideal .5xx lap time, but couldn't nail sector 1 consistently enough, so settled for a 55.677 as a final time, cheers!

I'm not happy with my time. Since last week Tuesday with a 55,871 (with a wall hit, that's the reason I have other entry in the database) but I couldn't improve it when I was seeing that no so difficult. I got nervous all the laps I was improving (one of them a 7xx low if I hadn't done a stupid mistake in the two fast corners before T2).

So 6th position now and maybe 7th or 8th :ouch:

On the other hand, a GTro in the first position and a great team victory. I am proud to be in this team :)
 
just didn't have the time this week (after my ps3 died i bought a new ps3,but had to start all over again from scratch with the game....)to make some good improvements on my laptime...had a few great ones going tonight ,but messed them all up in the last corner!!!....but after only have done 3 x30 minutes sessions in totall i am happy to atleast scored some points at all....
this must have been the most close tt of them all if you study the times...unreal!!....

glad to be back though...!!!

Left it too late, I logged into GTRP but just missed it. I'll have to try and make it up over the next few weeks and start earlier. The 0'56'066 I got on the boards just clips a barrier so I tried to upload a 0'56.162 that I had earlier. Think I logged in at 12.00.

Just couldn't be consistent on the left where that statue/obelisk thing is. Plenty of times I'd get really good traction out of T1 and get .3xx.

didn't managed to upload my replay in time as I was having issues with my network for the past 2 days. couldn't fix it in time to upload :(

I was at about the same spot, timewise, after my first couple sessions.

I watched DHolland's replay exactly twice, and learned enough to cut a full second off my time.

I still didn't place all that well, but I'm satisfied with my performance, given that the track is just not my cup of tea, and that I learned quite a lot in the process.
 
Congratulations to eclipsi and rootbe for getting the .6xx time (just wish you could have allowed fellow competitors like myself, a chance to beat ur times...)
 
New wheel and taking part in this IFTC as improved my driving somewhat, hate London, hate the Lotus, stuck at it, helped me with pedal control, usually it's full on and full off
