Congratulations. How's the missus doing?

Thanks! Pretty good. She was a big baby, so there was some pretty bad tearing - but everyone is feeling good.

Congrats "Daddy man"!
She already looks to have quite a personality.

Normally I'd say something like "you have no idea" here, but I know you do, Gil.

She has some incredible lungs, let's put it that way. Notice how in 2 of the 4 photos she's screaming. ;)

Congrats mate!

I don't expect to see any slowdown in Xenon development though! :trouble:

Thanks, GG.

Unfortunately, Real Life (TM) first - sorry. :)

In those first two, I'd wager she's saying something about how cold she is. "Doggonit, I'm just a bit nekked and cold here, blanket please!!"
That third pic has a very distinct "So, you're my Grammy?!, Let the spoiling commence!" look to it.
With the exception of middle of the night feedings, I love kidlets when they're that age.
I'm only a few years away from "Grampa-hood".
I'm waiting patiently to be the "coolest grampa" around.
"Your grampa drives a Buick? Mine drives a 350Z!"

Well done to all the F8s concerned. Our second one came out mad, too. 8-3/4 lbs is on the "healthy" side... our sympathy to your wife. While neither of us were in favor of a pre-emptive episiotomy, the risk that you run of course is that there won't be time to do one when it ends up being necessary.

Middle-of-the-night feedings aren't a problem when you breastfeed, Gil! Hear the cry, retrieve baby from basinette, nudge wife to roll over, plug baby on, and everybody goes back to sleep... no bottles to warm and formulas to prepare!

Ah... I was a big baby myself, so C-section it was! :D

That's awsome. Congrats. I still get choked up when I remember my son's birthday. Best day of my life. I'm sure you understand.

Ah, but before you bring a baby to bed, you should change its dipe, to prevent having to change the whole bed for "puddling."
Also, after our first I couldn't sleep with the baby in the room with us. Every sputter, gasp, and sigh had me out of the bed to check on the babe. So, I had to GO get the baby, give him to mama, sleep for about 45 minutes, return freshly fed and burped baby back to bassinette, go back to bed.
I got to be able to do it without ever really waking up.
Plus, "Uncle Sam's Canoe Club" got me in the habit of not sleeping for more than 4-5 hours at any one time.

July 10th is an awesome day to be born.:p

I'll keep that in mind for the next time I'm born. I'll program it into my wireless phone calendar.

AltF8 - congrats. :D

Absolutely.

Nice to hear that, Jamie! It's probably best to listen to advice from the men's friends because once you start asking the grandparents what you should do, all Hell breaks loose!
