At 4:38 this morning, Kathy woke me up, kissing me on the forehead. "Morning, daddy!", she said. We've been trying to have a baby for a few months now, so it's now it's official. I'm so very glad, as we've been together for almost 9 years.

A few buddies and family members of mine have advice, so I extend the question to all of you...any advice?

I can't give advice myself as I've not had any experience, but all I can give is my congrats and my best wishes for the future.

I can't really give any advice from personal experience as I'm only 20 and don't have any kids (although I had quite a scare recently), but I think the best thing to do is to enjoy your free time as much as you possibly can, as you probably won't have very much for a while.

Congratulations though, and good luck with everything involved.

Congrats man!

No advice from me either unfortuantly, but wow, your the first person in about 10 years that i've heard of who are having or had kids after trying/wanting to have them. Everyone else I know has had them from because of other reasons that we don't have to get into.

Great news, congratulations Pupik! 👍 What you hoping for, a son or daughter then? :sly:

Wow cograts pupik..my wife and I tried almost 8 years before my son was manufactured..it was great getting all that practice but..hey...' bless ya buddy and good luck and best wishes .

Congratulations.

My advice (not that I've had any experience...) is to start and finish anything you've been planning on doing - you want havy any spare time once the wee tacker arrives, and also start saving the $$$. The critters can get expensive at times.

Other than that, support your wife (I assume after nine years?) as pregnancy can make them crazy! She'll need you both before and after the baby is born.

Enjoy. :)

Cool. Im guessing you must be really proud. Being a dad is hard work and i know it (Conspiracy)

Congratulation's , it will be hard work but it should be well worth it, if you discout the teen years anyway .

4:38? God damn.

I would've said, "3 more hours, Mommy."

Anyway, congrats. Don't be afraid to feed your kid until he or she is full; forget what the dumb nurses tell you about feeding.

Congratulations. My brother became a father when he was 18 and oddly enough it was one of the best things that could happen to him, it straightened him up a bit and he couldn't live without the kid now.

Good luck
