I'm doing 24hrs of the 'Ring in B-Spec mode right now. :(

I had wanted to / planned to do the entire thing in A-Spec mode over a couple days, but I pussyed out. :nervous:

24hour race is a waste of time in A-spec. I did mine in B-spec, and you can finish 3 times faster. It is well worth going faster and you win $1,200,000 and an F1 car.

I'm doing the 300KM Grand Valley Endurance tonight, and in the morning tommorow, I plan on starting the Nurbugring Endurance both in B-Spec of course.

I presume I will do the long enduros in b-spec too, or a big bit of it atleast. Can't really see myself sitting down 24 hours racing, although it would be fun! :) My hat's off to the ones that do!

Cheers!

****!! My PS2 shut itself down last night. So now I have to do rhe enduro again.

Haha, owned. (Now it's gonna happen to me :()
Yea That sucks dude, I am in the 'ring 24 hour.
I have done 8:38:45 so I have about 4 - 5 - 6 hours (of real time) left.

Driver changes occur in most real life 24 hour races, so why not use this in GT4?
I don't personally see it as cheating, it's realism :)

It could be a waste of time but it depends on how you look at it, you can also start it in A spec and once you have a nice lead I think you can switch over to B, I havnt yet unlocked that hall, but Im getting there. I think I wanna do all the races my self, I dont know if I will but I will try.

Man, that SUCKS! I think in a friggin' 24-hour race they should have an auto-save at every 3 or 4 hour mark, so you can start there again if things go wrong...

I'll do half of the endurance and then let B-spec take the other half, cause I don't wanna sit 24 hours, although when I first heard of it I immediatly wanted to the complete one, but in a realistic point of view: you just don't do that on a normal day, that's reality for me. But I don't know for sure since I've got the DFP and then GT4 so it may be heaven for me:drool:
Cause I know I'll be doing an "endurance" in GT3 tommorow because of that DFP!!!!!!!:D:D

I plan on doing all of the enduros in B-Spec mode. I just don't have the time to sit down and race that long. I've already completed 4 enduros with B-Spec. I think B-Spec is fantastic. Especially when you have to race on that hidious Opera Paris track. I dont like the city tracks. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Now I think I'm gonna go do some photography of my new BMW M3 GTR! SWEET! 👍

Uh...you can switch in between A-Spec and B-Spec during races. It's one of the options in the pit.

I agree, I tried to give the new city courses a chance, but they're very annoying. They have some nice landscaping, but the layout of the tracks suck. I've always hated racing at Seattle, and am always a little disappointed to see it return game after game. And now I have to deal with Paris, New York, and Seoul. Tokyo R246 I give a bye, because it still has that real track feeling to it.

B-Spec, while I initially didn't think it was that special, has proven to be a great way to bypass a lot of crappier tracks.

Never mind, I asked my dad and he said he turned it off. :nervous:

Yeah, I just don't enjoy doing right turn after right turn, and you go the same speed in every turn, and then you floor it down the strait, and then slam on the brakes. It gets boring after a while. Not as much skill required. And something just does'nt seem right about the city tracks. It does'nt have that look and feel the real race tracks like Suzuka and Motegi have. (I love Motegi!) I like the technicality of the real race tracks.

Whats this business about 4 hours real time when uve only done 8 out of 24 hours!!?? It took an acual 24 hours for me to finish it in b-spec!! is there a way to speed the game up in B-spec?? If there is id really really like to know!!!

Yes, if you hit R1 during the race, it will bring up a different view where you can view times and gap distances and stuff. While in that view, hold L1 and push right on the D-Pad and you can change from 1x to 2x to 3x. The 1x 2x 3x is in the middle of the screen above the times.

And I have a question... How do you put custom Avatars under your name???

I've been B-Spec'ing my way through the 1000 Miles series. Mainly because I can't drive the car worth a damn. I took an AC, and threw on every upgrade. It was like fitting a jet engine to a unicycle! However, I have done some laps. B-Spec most of them, but I always take one stint. I won't B-Spec any race 100%.

Most annoying thing about city tracks is the fact that most corners are blind, takes much longer to learn the track because you can't exactly see what's coming around every building. But I will race them all in A-Spec, I don't really like the Seattle courses but I like them better than for example a Grindelwald or Trial Mountain.
