I started out to be a hardcore GT fan also and wanted to do everything in A-spec... but that wasn't the intention of this game... it was intended so you can switch back and forth between A and B spec... because if you really concentrated for 4 hours at a time you could finish endurance races np... but 1. a few people have the time or patients. 2. It's not good for your eyes and health. So B-spec mode is perfectly legit, they made the game this way which was an excellent idea imo... it's far from cheating.....

the ones i hate are seole or w.e it is called and hongkong, the rest a nice, xcept for opera and n.y.

rite now im usin a black r92 on the 24hour enduro. bspec. i started at 2am, i when to bed, now im 9hours on to it. (all done in 1x time though) now im up im switchen it to 3x every pit.

and yes to whoever said asked if the AI knows went to pit. when one tire or more are red. same with gas

I've just finished the Gt3 roadster enduro (70 min) with DFP and my arms hurt... so I think until I get more fit, it's going to be B-Spec and A-Spec combined...

oh europe!

18 hours into the 24hour race, I am 7 laps ahead of the first loser, 24 laps ahead of the last one.

I took about 2 hours when I started it working up a good tire/pit strategy. Last thing you want is your Bspec driver to go by the pit on orange tires. I made sure his pit light lit up on the last 1/4 of a lap; I cant imagine doin that track on 4 red tires.

I am using my Camaro Race Car, man the gas mileage sucks on that lol, 39 miles and he uses 3/4 of a tank of gas.

Most annoying thing about city tracks is the fact that most corners are blind, takes much longer to learn the track because you can't exactly see what's coming around every building. But I will race them all in A-Spec, I don't really like the Seattle courses but I like them better than for example a Grindelwald or Trial Mountain.

Aww, those were two of my favorite courses. Though, I would much rather race a real course. :(

Nop shame, any normal person would b-spec it. I b-spec's the Nur 4 hr and went to play basketball(had a nice game winning dunk :)) came home, had 5 minutes to go. And yes i used the r92c even though i didnt have to. doent matter how far you are in first, just be first when the 4 hour mark hits. I just made it to the finish right after 4hr so i didnt have to go another lap.

Oh, and here's my latest acquisition: 👍

Well here's one for you, I finished up the last series in the Pro Hall around 2 this morning. I go into my garage and the bloody PS2 locks up with no save after race 3. I would've re-done it, but I was a bit p.o.ed and tired so I through my R8 into B-Spec and it finished off the cup for me around 3am.

I did the 24H in real time, (of course B-specing) It was kinda cool, bragging to friends that at that very moment, I was running one of the most daunting races in the world. I woke up the next morning and the credits had just started rolling in, a great thing to wake up to. :)👍

Edit: Used a Cien, won by 12 laps, and completed 154.

man i can't wait for this game.but i wont get to play it for another week after it comes out becouse im going on school camp the same day!:(after 3-4 years waiting patiantly through the delays you would think my mum would let me miss out on a $180 school camp but no:(

uh....noob question....does the AI know when to go to the pits??

Yea, they pit in when their tires turn orange or red (enough for the lap times to really slow down) or when fuel is running low.

However, after a pit stop, it turns back to real time (x1). So you have to manually press R1, then hold L1 and press right twice for the race speed to go back to 3x

Grindelwald? Is it back? I must know! I loved that track in GT2!!

Umm, what rims are on that M3, posted above?

Those rims were in the wheel of the day. They look like Audi Wheels. The M3's have such big wheels that just about any wheel looks fantastic! Ive got a Black M3 CSL that I put the Silverado SST wheels on and it is gorgeous. 👍 I'll have to post a few pics of it on here a little later.

ONE HOUR TO GO INTILL IM IN THE MONEY! lol i could care less bout the money but i want the dang extreme cups lol, drive faster stupid time :nervous:

30mins 2go lol gotta love 3x. so far.....winning by 21laps, 211laps done....pitted 55times

No, Grindelwald isn't back. At least not in the JP version and I haven't heard anything about any new tracks in the US version.

Nice. 👍

I'm only 9 hours into my 24 hours, and well, seems like I'm going to have to leave it over night.

mustang_4_ever
bah, im plannig on doing 1 of 4hours of the nurbug 4hours lol
Lol I was just doing that and im like...This is so gay...I only get 1 a spec point anyway and I just quit and start it on b-spec.

But I really wanna do 24 hours of the Ring in A spec during Spring break... I hope I really will...

Cant you just pit and switch to B spec, or do you have the NTSCj version?

What I did for the 1000 Miles series was run the game in A-Spec mode until both myself and the 2nd place guy had needed to pit at least once. Since the AI is just as in GT3, if you are still ahead of 2nd place when both of you have already had your first pit stop, then you will stay ahead for the rest of the race. At that point I pit and let the computer B-Spec the rest.

If I'm around, like playing World of Warcraft on the computer, I'll switch back to A-Spec for the last few laps. For example on Nurburgring, I did the first and last set of 5 laps. The 'puter did the middle 15 :)

I think read that you can save during the races i B-spec mode, so if that is correct, woulcn't you be able to race in A-spec, then swap to b-spec and save?

You can't save, but you can switch modes mid-race in the pits.
