Is there a way where u can drive bits of the race, then let the ai driver take over in b-spec, and then u manually drive another stint??

I wonder how they calculate the B-spec and A-spec points when you switch back and forth between the modes. Has anyone tried to figure this out??

If you do any part of a race in B-spec you get b-spec points no a-spec points

I have no idea. I just ran the 200mi. at Laguna with '00 Corvette. I started in B-Spec and was going to run the whole race in that mode until about 20 laps left. I then switched into A-Spec and made a miracle 54sec. comeback (Thanks pit strategy!) and won the race, but the first thing that popped up after I won was 0 A-Spec pts. awarded. So obviously my 20 laps didn't count. I didn't notice any change in my B-Spec pts either. Rather my B-Spec driver skill pts. so I'm not sure if I was awarded any B-Spec pts. I hope if you switch it up between A and B-Spec they don't cancel out all of your pts regardless of what percentage of the race you run in whatever mode.

I wish they would tell you how many overall pts you gained over the race, because I don't believe I've ever seen a message say X amt. of B-Spec pts. won. Am I just pressing the X button to quickly to see this message or is there just no message?
