I bought PS1, PS2 and PS3 because of Gran Turismo. Why does this bother you so?

The fact that he bought a console for a single game doesn't bother me, I'm mostly cool with that, though I didn't phrased it correctly.

What bothers me is that he straight up sold the console because, for him, GTS sucked.

I mean, come on, GTS is not the only great game exclusive for PS4 that is interesting, right on the top of my head I can remember the incoming God of War 4, The Last of Us 2, Days gone and Horizon Zero Down.

I think OP just created this thread to get some attention, since we have a proper whinning thread for that(that apparently everyone ignores).

A: If you buy the console for one game and don't like that game, it makes sense to sell it if you're the type that doesn't like unnecessary stuff laying around the house. I sell or give away perfectly good stuff all the time to avoid clutter.
B. Why are you attacking him personally? He has every right to make a thread here and express his feelings on the subject same as you and I and everyone else. There's no rule here that says you have put everything negative about GTS in one single thread just like there's no rule here that you have to put everything positive in the positive thread. If you have an issue with it, use the report button. Attacking someone personally is bad form and against the AUP.

The level of vitreol in this thread is quite entertaining though. It's nice to see so many people who proclaim they don't care about what the OP has to say, come in here to tell us that they don't care what the OP has to say or to outright attack him. The irony level is well over 100 in here

If I had a £3000 all singing and dancing 4K HDR tv, I would have bought a ps4 and GTS just so my tv got a workout.

Ultimately, the choice is yours regardless of what other players think. If something is no longer fun then it's definitely not worth doing anymore. Personally, I am enjoying myself immensely despite the many frustrations and it helps me maintain what little eye hand coordination a 60 year old man might have in the off season. Hopefully, training myself to be patient and cautious will put me in good stead when I attend racing school to go for my competition license this spring. I wish you the best.

A combination of 2 tracks is not a new track. What's next, Northern Isle speedway in reverse?

it's been 3 months now to add 1 track variation. At this pace it's going to be like GT6, empty promises. But the Samba bus is fun in vr, not kidding.

I was enjoying GT Sport so much that I bought a PS3 just to play GT6 to see what people were talking about. The console was mint with leads and a controller and £50 from CEX, the game £10 from the same store with an unused DLC code for a million credits! And it only took 6 hours to install the game with its patches. Loved it. Still play GT Sport way more though.

Yeah, sure, in the most literal sense you can think for the word I mean I don't care for these kinds of thread as I don't really see why it needed it's own, but it's completely ironic seeing the reactions and things people are saying here. What's sad is that this user wasn't really even bashing the game, and was posting in a perfectly peaceful manner and that seemed to be enough for some to personally go after the person. Some people just like to say bye to a community that they probably enjoyed being a part of at one point, and while it could have done without being it's own thread, the person wasn't really offensive in any way.

I dont really understand your issues. I have scoured these forums and understand most peoples complaints about the game. Most range from unfounded- reasonable complaints about how the specific aspects of first gen. SR system works but no one out there seems to be able to provide an example of a game that does it better (iRacing has its own major SR flaws) The physics are beat by ONLYT WO other games (AC and PC2) Everything else is minor gripes about how GTS isnt PERFECT. The game still gets updated semi- monthly and we are all (patiently?) waiting for more content to be added.

They appear to be equally advanced as an open, easy to pick up sim, just like Forza. I would say they're pretty even in that regard really. For some, it's not all about physics, for some it is. In the end, it's all up to the user how they perceive it. Everything you've listed is things you're ok with, yet, what does that matter to the op?

Unless you were one of the people affected by the grip bug or in contention for the number one on the dailies charts then who cares. You have NO IDEA if this affected you.

Oh there's someone that has no idea about something, definitely So you're certain that this person is not affected? If there is a known bug, and you go to your game, and you have the same issues, than actually, its pretty darn easy to have an IDEA if it has affected you. If you go in and you don't have the issues, than again, its pretty darn easy to tell. What are you trying to say?

You bought and sold a PS4 Pro and GTS and quit because the online lobbies make you press R1 twice before racing? HOW ASININE. Am i supposed to go "Oh yeah that makes sense!" or are you just that picky? Please tell me because that is probably the worst reason for wasting your money than anything.

What doesn't make sense is that you've latched on to one tiny aspect and assumed that was the only reason.

I wont have a PS4, or GTS, for about a month or two. I've been here since 2011 and haven't owned a PS3 since just about 2012-2013 and haven't owned a GT game since GT5. There's a lot more valuable area's in this forum than the GT section of it, and there's a lot of wonderful people out there too, outside of this section. If you haven't noticed, there is a lot more to this forum. I'd recommend exploring it.

Eh, not necessarily. It makes it a new layout, or ribbon, but I wouldn't really call it a new track

I'm not offended, it's my opinion of you based on your posting style. If that wasn't the sentiment, then I happily stand corrected.
