I'm new to GT4, are GT Days important?

as topic says, i heard there are 700 gt days and in the last 7 days (694-700) there are Black cars.. But what happends after those 700gt days? Will the game reset? Are those days important? This may sound dumb to you but I'd appreciate it if I could get a nice answer out of it.

The 700 days refers to the 700 day cycle that the Used Car Lots go through. The black race cars appear there on days 694-700. After day 700, the used car lots go back to what they had on day 1. But in game, your day will be shown as 701. So, to answer your question, nothing really happens after day 700, other than the used car lots starting over with the cars from day 1 and going through the cylce again. For example: I bought two of the four black race cars on the days between 694-700. When I wanted the other two, I waited until days 1394-1400 so that they appeared again.
 
Yep. Also each licence test/Coffee Break entry is 1 day (you can take the test as many times as you like in a single entry and only have it count 1 day, but as soon as you leave and enter again it's a new entry).

Selling and winning cars also gives you 1 day.
