I finally got GT5P last night. After completing the C events I decided I was warmed up enough to try an online race. I wanted to make sure I raced clean, staying on the line so others trying to pass wouldn't think I was blocking, and giving the line to those that were ahead of me. I did not want to be blacklisted.
That first race was kind of a shock. There were cars swerving all over the place. I decided to brake a little early to avoid the carnage in front and got slammed from behind... Ok, that's racing, but would this person now claim I was brake testing? Next corner (High Speed ring) I get squeezed into the rail and as I come back onto the track I make contact with someone trying to pass. "Opps, Sorry!" Then at the last corner someone cuts right in front of me, we make contact and they are now swerving back and forth behind me trying to regain control. "Sorry about that... "
So in the first lap of my first online race I had contact with other racers 3 times! I raced a few more times and it was more of the same. It makes the old GT4 AI's "I'm staying on the racing line not matter what" seem nice in its predictability.
So if you are someone that I had contact with last night:
I'm Sorry!
