Why is there a 7th gear slot in the ratio list if there is no car that has it???

Word on the street is that in the Japanese version the Diablo racer has 7 gears.

The Mitsu GTO Semi-Racing transmission in GT1 had seven gears. The ratios were to short to be useful but it was sorta interesting. I wonder if there is a seven-speed Semi-Racing tranny somewhere in GT3...(putters off to try his idea)....

really the 3000GT? there is also another 7th gear car in gt2...it's a little subaru pleo...the AWD one has 7 gears....i like buying little cars and tunning them so i stumble apon it.....why do you need 7 gears when you can have 1! the honda logo has one gear if you keep the stock gears....it just keeps accelerating and stays at about 6 to 7K rpm on first gear...they don't even give you the option of chosing auto or manual when you choose that car...

Why no Diablo in PAL version? Also, what is the piont of 7 gears,though i wouldn't mind if a car had them on the PAL version, but i can't find one either. That Honda Logo on GT2 is stupidly slow, but it is true that it only has 1 gear.
