The utility.
That has to be the biggest freaking myth in automotive history. SUVs are compromise vehicles that try to do everything and end up doing nothing well at all.
My 10-year-old Dodge Caravan holds more, handles better, and rides better than any "Sport Utility", while giving at least 50-100% better fuel economy. Plus it costs next to nothing to maintain or insure, and it will last at least another 10 years since I only drive it when I need to haul a lot of stuff or people.
For the purchase price + operating costs of
any popular SUV, you can buy a used minivan or pickup/cap that will actually be useful when you need "utility", PLUS you can buy a nice new daily driver that's actually comfortable and fun to drive.
And if you're talking about one of the
luxury "utes" (an even sillier concept, if that's possible), you can buy a nice daily driver, a used pickup truck/van/ tow vehicle, and a used racecar/trailer to go autocrossing or do track days with.

1) I agree with the comments about being spoiled -
UNLESS you've worked to earn most of the money yourself. I don't know the situation so I withold final judgement. But if you've been flexing mom & dad's checkbook, I suggest you try doing it on your own for a while. It's much more satisfying.
But if you're interested in a truck, I recommend a Dakota. DO NOT get the R/T. Even though it comes with the 360, it's only available with an automatic. A 318-powered Dakota Sport with a 5 speed, shortest final drive, and LSD will hand the R/T its butt on a platter.
