I plan on building a DC2 but if I had a EK it would definately be built to this standard.

Simple and clean, the way I love'm

Hopefully you don't assume the Cusco cage is any sort of "standard".

What If I did? Seems like the best in the scene use the the Cusco and its quality is unquestionable.
I plan on using my own craftsmanship skills and building my own cage to my own "standard" (SCCA permitted) and it will be be cheaper.

I always thought the Lexus SC was pretty ugly.
I don't know why anyone would do that to the Supra, but cosmetics aside thats a badass car.

I very rarely call repost in these kinds of threads, but I swear you posted that already.

Do you mean this one?

If I have posted the black one already, I don't remember so.

Same as to why I don't know why people think the SC is so ugly. I've always thought it was a great looking car.

Building one to SCCA specs is a better idea than using a Cusco one. They're nice, high quality parts, but they're not safety certified by any racing organization in the US. So when they're put into a car driven here it is literally just for show.

The most popular pre-designed roll bars and cages that people bolt in come from Autopower, and another company I forget the name of. Anyone wanna help me on that?

Kirk Racing?

Either way, a Cusco "roll cage" is not a roll cage at all.

Also, I know Safety 21 is made by Cusco, but are they any better than just a Cusco cage, or is it the same thing?

Yeah you can't seriously expect to pass inspection with a Cusco, and if you're looking for serious rigidity the Cusco wont get you there.
I'd rather spend $500 on a cage from Jegs and weld it in myself.

At that angle, I do imagine down force is increased slightly, but drag also, as it is no longer smoother out the airflow and reducing the drag inducing vortex developed from the general shape of hatchbacks.

As long as it runs on road legal tyres and it has enough ground clearance, I can't see why it shouldn't be...

Where are the reverse lights at the back? I don't think it'd be running the same sort of thing as a Range Rover.
Same with the indicators at the front.

Integrated into the rear lights and the indicators up front to the headlights.

I really think you need to start putting more thought into some of your posts.

Ahhh - so it is running something similar to a Range Rover.
I've seen some US cars that have the rear indicator integrated into the brakes lights at the back - is it legal in the US do do the same with the fronts?

Also the fact that I see it running with some level of roll cage - which is illegal here - so forgive me if I don't know the ins and outs of your road legality laws.

Not my thing, but I know there are some fans of the GTR on here... saw this in the carpark at Mercedes Event today...

That was my point. You don't know everything everywhere, so stop stating speculation as fact.

I'm not sure working back up lights are required at all in the US, and I know all you need is brake lights, turn indicators (which can be the same), a third brake light (though rarely enforced), tail lights at night, and head lights and indicators up front. The only other things is you can only have white and amber lights up front, and add red to the back.

Then there is a how high off the ground rule, but that is never enforced due the 11ty lifted trucks we have here. At least in this state.

Welding is the best option for that money if you have tools and skills to do that.
And also rigidity with cages that are not connected to front strut towers through the firewall isn't so good.

Meh...they're pictures from a game. Pretty good, but not as impressive as the real thing.

Bottom one looks like something this character would drive, though...
