They're there to scoop air in to cool the cabin. And you can close it when you don't need it.

How can you be so sure they're functional? I'm not a fan of roof scoops.

I remember when I first saw the FX35 and I saw the grill, I wanted to puke. After that a little later I thought it was a pretty cool looking car. I hear the curved roof in the back irritates a lot of owners though.

The Starlet needs to be painted black and grow a supercharged small-block Ford (And opened up wheelarches front and rear with 225-50-R15s up front and 295-50-R15s out back), and the GT-R needs to disappear.

nah, Toyota V8, or maybe northstar V8 at maximum.. and the GT-R indeed does disappear.. to the horizon, followed by cloud of dust that covers porsches, ferraris and corvettes..

No, it needs to do something more like the Vanishing Point Challenger.

If we seriously wanted to actually have a balanced car out of that Starlet, a TA Performance Buick 3.8 with an aluminum block/heads and a pair of turbos would be best. And yes, it has pushrods. Weighs less than 300lbs. 700hp potential.

2l inline 4's have ability to spit out 900bhp nowadays, but it's pointless in road use. realistically that car could use about 350bhp, which would be near of 50/50 power to weight..

I'm a big fan of the current Mazda2, and it's supposed to be a fantastic little car. A proper Mazdaspeed version would be great (I think this car is just a bitsa to showcase the tuning parts), preferably based on the 3-door...

I'm going to book a test drive of the 2 soon. Unfortunately not in the financial position to buy one though.

If only Australia got the Mazdaspeed line of performance model Mazda's. All we get is these unoriginal 'MPS' badged 'performance' vehicles, no mazdaspeed. Why that is, and the fact that they change the name of the Demio to the Mazda'2' (and thus making them simply sound like a common product that are pouring out of the factory in their millions each day), I have no idea.
