Is that a color shift paint cause in one pic they have a have a lime green look to them and in another pic they look as a bright yellow. or I'm just color blind

The parking arena has a lot of different types of light sources at night which the fleck in the paint reflects differently, the same way that many cars look different in the direct sun than parked in your garage at night.

I took a shot very similar to this back in 2010, unfortunately by the time I got to devil's playground it was much later and there weren't as many cars coming up:

Typical Colin Chapman. Awesome but scary at the same time. I can't imagine racing a car I felt was in danger of literally falling apart.

Wow those Targa Florio 250 GTOs are absolutely trashed, in particular the no 168 tunnel back. Check out what it looks like today:

How amazing would that thing be if it was in survivor condition. Almost a shame that the only remaining evidence of its racing career is on paper...

Can't begin to imagine the contemporary value of this grid

Apart from the Cobras, GT40, Lightweight E-Types and 904 Porsches, there's at least 3 Ferrari 275 P's, and at least 7 250 GTO's

No kidding! Here's the grid for that race (1964 Nurburgring 1000km).

Consider that a GT40 just skipped across the block at $11,000,000 at Monterey: The GT40 at the top of the photo was piloted by Phil Hill and Bruce McLaren (!!) and was the very first GT40 to compete. The value of that car would be astronomical if it survived.

I know that is where I got the rally pics from for my the last few post.

Haha yeah I figured since they were in the same order as in the blog. I guess I'll post what you don't post 👍

Those old F1 pictures are so awesome. 👍

And the Nissan Mid-4 really looks like a bloated mixture of 2nd gen MR2 and NSX.

Oh how I wish the Targa Florio and Mille Miglia still existed. Of course that would be near impossible these days. I can only imagine what'd it'd be like seeing a Ferrari prototype sports car flying through the Italian contryside!

Mille Miglia still runs, but it's not quite the same thing:

By far the best photo I've ever seen posted in here. This is one that will definitely be saved and made to be on my wall someday.

Any and all automotive photographers should just give up due to the existence of that man. More of his photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mitch_hemming/

And quick question but I noticed that a lot of these photos that you guys are posting have urls from Tumblr. Do any of you have blogs that you're getting the photos from or do find them somewhere else? Considering I run a car blog I'd love to get your URL's if you do.

Yeah it's awesome. I almost confused it with 1988 but its actually 1989. The cars look almost the same besides the fact that they have the intakes on the top of the driver's head as opposed to top of the side pods (for the turbos) as they were during the turbo era.

I rarely post car-related stuff, but I follow a bunch of automotive blogs which is where I post stuff from: http://mintyy.tumblr.com/

I have a few blogs. Three of them being tumblr iirc. I come across good blogs often, though, that I don't bookmark. I'll have to find those again.

One of those things is a very highly engineered world-beating supercar, while the others are really fast entry-level sports coupes.

No GT-R has ever Been simply an "entry level sports coupe" and the latest one is surely not te exception. To me, all of them are world beating supercars in their own right taking into account the time of their release
