I always liked them both , but the one and the only is impreza for me, every time i turn on rally or other races i always be on impreza side, i know that they both have pluses and minuses but i love a little bit more subaru ;)

Celica GT-four........

But back on topic, I'm a giant fan of Mitsubishi, Tommi Mäikinen is probably my biggest hero, but one of my most favorite cars of all time is the first generation (1992-2000) Subaru Impreza WRX STI, and I'm also a really big fan of Toyota cars in general, so really I'm kind of at a stand still.

Both cars have their history and I respect both, but for me the all-time champion will be the Impreza. It simply has much more substance and character. The Impreza is on a kind of it's own. The Lancer feels too plain and flavorless.

As for handling, the Impreza gains my respect because despite having a 50-50 torque split that technically should make its handling terrible, it does behave very neutral on tarmac. The Lancer, feels to numb and predictable.

Offroad, both cars are almost the same. The Lancer is actually very enjoyable and it feels tremendously light. The Subaru is "Imprezive" as well.

Nice comment,
I have always found Imprezas more welcoming than the Evos. I havent driven an Evo in my life, but I drive a 2009 WRX to school everyday, and it feels so responsive, and has this awesome feeling on the wet road.

The Impreza WRX Hatch is very easy to park, infact, its very easy to do anything with it and still have fun. The manual is fun on the WRX, 5-speed where I even managed to win a race between me in my Stock WRX vs a Supercharged Mustang Cobra.

The Evo has an aggressive styling that seems to disappear due to its hood, which looks like a mess, and It has paddle shifters which seem to take the fun out of a manual trans.

If I had the chance to trade my WRX for a Lancer Evolution X, There wouldn't be any hesitation for me to say "NO!", I'll take my Impreza WRX over any Evo any day.

In my opinion, Evos see too serious for fun, like they have no soul.

In all honesty, I'm sticking up for the viper cause it's my favourite car. But they are both even. Each kills the other in different areas 👍

Nah it's all good, I am just partial towards the Corvette in general. I mean it is my favorite car and.....just look at my member name lol.

BTW, I saw the new Viper unveiled at the auto show...my God, I have to admit I love the way that thing looks now:

Well I guess since I own 2 and love working on them, I have to choose Impreza. I don't really have anything againt lancers, I just enjoy the scooby's scene and the style more.

STIs are cheaper than Evos, but I've beaten two STIs with my Crossfire and lost to two Evos with it. I realize there are a lot of factors there, but that plus their rarity in comparison gives my respect to the Lancer.

STi vs. Evo: Even though I like the Lan Evos and the potential of the 4G/4B engines, I have to go with the WRX STi. Go WR Blue!

The Imprezas have a good amount of power STOCK compared to a Evo:

Lancer Evo IX MR CT9A = 290hp

Impreza WRX STi GDB = 300hp

Though with a Lancer Evo's 4G63 engine is a much stronger block than the EJ25 flat and can reach insane numbers with stock internals(some Evos have between 700-1000hp on stock parts and no rebuilt motor..) The Boxer4, espically when rebuilt with stronger parts than a 4G, reaches more hp numbers and torque than the 4G.

Stock or modded to the teeth, a STi has more torque than a Lan Evo.

Despite their differences, they are great cars, but I'm on the WR blue side :D. I'm looking at a STi in real life as well and just can't get enough of that engine.

Corvette vs. Viper:

Mopar or no car!

The Corvettes are like the Skyline GTR/GTR of the US. Iconic and a legend that people respect around the world. The past recent C5, recent C6 and the soon-to-be C7, are powered with a torquey(?) yet powerful LS6/7/9 engine. In which can tear up any piece of road. A modified Z06/ZR1's LS engine can be deemed dangerous. But can't put that fear of a 8L V10 can. :trouble:

A Dode Viper's 8-8.4L OHV V10 can put out more hp and torque than a LS any day. And a modified V10 with either a supercharged or twin turbo incuction can put fear in a Vette, similar to a beast 2JZ-GTE Supra on a RB26DETT Skyline. And a Viper twin turbo sounds nice, REAL nice.

But if I had the money, I'll get them both. But I will go with the Viper though, espically the new SRT.

Evo's are a little bit more expensive because they come factory with a slightly bigger turbo thats why they are slightly faster. In a straight line.

Nether car makes near the hp that they put on the brochure. Stock STi is more around 260hp at the wheels Evo's I'm not as sure about being a subie guy and all but I'm sure they suffer in a similar way.

Lancer or Impreza? Of the ten Evo models, the Evo III is my favorite, but as a better car, I'd rather have the Impreza 22B.

It is more practical than any Mitsu ever released, and it is better in every way than its non-22B counterparts. I hope they revive the 22B as a Top-Of-The-Line model with 400 hp and 30 mpg 2-door. Hopefully they wont assign it to the BRZ and call it the 22B Spec RZ. Or maybe they should concoct a two door out of the 2013 WRX.

Either way it'll be better than the Evo X in all aspects.

Impreza: all time favorite. Didn't compare them in GT, but car reviews always mentions a difference in driving.
Lancer has an better computer to aid.
Impreza is more tricky, it used to slide more.

I will choose WRX as the EVO X has too much weight conpare to WRX... but before EVO X, I will choose EVO as the EVO give me stronger accelration feeling.

Scooby I used to have a thing for sunshine yellow evos' but a fateful *tarmac* lap in a wrx sti changed all that..

Subaru because I like their exhaust note and the overall driving experience over the evo.
