Since Gran Turismo 4 is probably in development, or will be in the next few months, I chose a topic which asks What 5 new features you would want to see in GT4(Also called GTN)? These are my suggestions:
1)Online Play (99.9% that it will be included)
2)Downloadable cars and tracks.
3)Ability to choose weather or time of day on any track.
4)Damage Model (5% that it will happen)
5)Adding NOS kits (low probability)

One of the main aims for GT4 is to be able to d/l cars off the net.

1. The ability to................GET THE FREAKING SUPERCAR LICENCES FROM EA!!!!!!!!!!
2. Downloadable tracks? Either that, or they should include 30+ tracks when they release the game.
3. User customisable body modifications. e.g. choose which spoiler, side skirts, air dams, paintwork you want on the car.
4. 2+ [R] bodies for all cars.
5. In-Car & bonnet view.

I'm going to second all these that have been posted, especially Mustang Man's 5th suggestion!  :D

Here's some other things:

1.  A track designer/editor.
2.  More real-life tracks, such as F1 tracks, Road Atlanta, rovals, etc.
3.  Prototype-class (Le-Mans type) cars.
4.  More cars on the track at once.
5.  Referring back to #1 on this list, it would be cool to be able to download these custom-made cars and tracks from other users of the game.

1.Chrome wheels
2. street traffic driving(at least for the liscence part of the game)
3.Trucks for the dirt road racing
4.Bring the old school muscle cars back
5.Police

1. 3D glasses (PS2 has USB ports remember?)

2. Online play.

3. Make 3D environment dealerships.

4. Show the upgrades actually being done on your car!

5. Customizable weather effects.

6. Realtime on the game. Example: if its night where you are it should be night in the game.

7. More realistic car effects. Example: If you use the headlights for a long time you'll have to buy a new batterie.

Sorry I made more than 5 but I thought of alot more.

There are 2 shiny rims in the game, both are 5 spoke, one is a metalic gunmetal, the other is more of a billet alluminum look. There are not any chrome rims in the game for sale. ;)

I advise you to turn off the caps lock before a moderator notices and jumps all over you. Just trying to help you out. ;) Also, I don't really care if there is a drifting competition in GT4, I will drift in GT4 regardless. I'm also wondering how well they are going to dial in the scoring system, considering the subjective nature of drifting. If don't want it included unless it is meticulously recreated from actual drift comp rules and scoring agendas.;)

Weird, I can think of two chrome looking rims I use. I'll post the codes in MKs program this weekend. They don't look chrome in the "garage" view, but on the road, they look great.

A high speed oval like Daytona or Talladega for high speed testing/racing (Imagine driving around Talladega at 250mph in a skyline).

In no order.
1 = car damage (even if it's only thwe parts that break due to wear and tear, or smaking a wall at 200mph and not visable damage)
2 = Online play (which is pretty much in)
3 = A 3d garage that you can walk around in, and 3d dealerships, being able to go round the back to the used cars would be a nice touch.
4 = The racing mods on every car, with at least two body styles and several paint schemes for each so your car stands out.
5 = More tuning options, I would like to be able to do drive train conversions and engine conversions on some cars, it would have to be a very very expensive mod so that it's not a common thing in the game but it would be nice.

Just to point out that GT4 is not also called GT Next, that was a rumour, as was GT Professional for the PC.

See Solid Lifters Quote above

Then see the Start Date of this thread!

At that Time GT4 was refereed to as GTN (Network) At least as its developement title. Due Of course to the Planned Online element that PD were working on.
