Someone needs to clue Kaz in on this. the Castrol Jaguars alone would be pretty cool...if we got the Eagle Toyotas and Nissan GTPs....

Well, we've already got the Jag - in Silk Cut livery

Simple re-skin, and knowing Kaz's past track record with Castrol (GT1 Racing Mods, anyone?) I'd think it'd be a no-brainer. Also wouldn't have to censor out Silk Cut. (Assume that they are/were a tobacco company?)

I always thought the Castrol livery was nicer than the Silk Cut one (even though it has a great LeMans history as Silk Cut Jag) Silk Cut is a tobacco company.

The video was titled GP Miami 1990, but there were a lot more events than that represented. The Nissan crashes at 3:00 and 3:10 were from the same race at Road Atlanta, which I was at. I saw Chip Robinson's crash (3:10) but not Geoff Brabham's. I saw his car on the flatbed, though. That mark on the top of his helmet is road rash!

The crash at 3:34 is the pit exit at Riverside, I think, and the next one is the back straight of Portland. I remember TV coverage of those events.

I looked around...It's actually an '80's IMSA montage by a different maker.

I hate that 1980s music. But I LOVE the GTP cars. I don't talk about them religiously, but I love these machines. It's no wonder why people considered these cars as some of the greatest race cars of all time. I wished I could hear more of the car sounds and less of this song. And because someone thinks that racing is fun because of crashes, they had to show these violent hits and crashes. Now, they could have been like most American racing media and just show crashes and anything resembling NASCAR. These are the cars I would love to see if I was into racing at an earlier age. That's a great YouTube video.

There were actually images from the Miami GP dating back to 1984 in that video. one day, I get around to scanning all my IMSA photos.

Actually, a lot of the footage from the Miami race is stuff taken from a Miami Vice episode.

Yeah, except we miss where Danny Sullivan bolts out of the street course and hits a wall on purpose to avoid the federales.
