Ok well here is the deal, I have about 20k miles on my Blazer and my tires are right near being completly shot. In fact tomarrow after work I think I'll be going to look at some new ones.

But I need some ideas for tires. I've looked through Discount Tire's website and a few other ones but they don't give me the information I need. I need a good set of all-season tires that are good in the rain as well as the snow. I also need tires to last me more then 20k miles.

Handeling performance isn't really a concern, I won't be racing on these tires. I will be towing my dirt bikes but that shouldn't be a problem.

So what kinda tires best suit me? I just don't want to get screwed talking to some guy at the tire place.

www.tirerack.com has a user's feedback system where you can rate the tires. Go put in your size and performance group, and it will come up with a number of choices for you. Then each tire will have a feedback/reviews tab that you can look into.

I like Dunlop, BF Goodrich, Pirelli, and Yokohama. I don't like Goodyear at all.

You can get them at any convenience store, Pharmacy, Walmart, or local Grocer. If you can do w/out, thats fine. As they tend to get expensive. :P

Anyway, your best bet it to screw the internet search and go to several tire places. Ask for suggestions and pay attention to pricing. Rinse and repeat w/ the other tire dealers until you find the best price for the tire you want. Tires can be very expensive so looking around and taking notes is a good thing. Dont want to get screwed on some $800 tires that you could have gotten for $550 somewhere else. Just my thoughts.

The whole reason he isn't going to a dealer is because they will do a 'proper sales man' job on him and sell him expensive and pointless tyres.

I'm with duke. tirerack.com has some good prices for good tires.
I'm not a big fan of Goodyear either. But they seem to make the tire that my truck came with. (P235-60 R15) at about 70 bucks a tire, and they are rated better than the others for snow.
Check em out.

Thanks for the replys

I hate Goodyears. Thats what I have on right now, they are Eagel LS.

I'll check out tirerack, I didn't think about that.

Are you going to properly dispose of the old tires?

By properly dispose I hope you mean several big smokey burnouts to get rid of what ever is left on the tire.
