Don't know if anyone has noticed, but there seems to be a slight difference in the physics when doing an actual race and testing your car.
Ever since I got the game, I started noticing variations on how the car handles when testing it before going to the race. This had led me to mess up my settings since once I start the race, the car feels completely different.
One example of this would be the brakes. I usually disengage ABS on old cars, but to avoid lock up I go for a low setting (something around 2/1. Depending on the car and the type of brakes it has). With this setting I was locking up the brakes under the slightest touch to the pedal. This led me to take the settings to 0/0, and still, I was locking even at half the pedal's travel.
So I thought these were the new physics in action, so I had no other choice but to get used to it. But when I went racing, I was surprised that in the first corner, it was like I had no brakes at all. I had to take the setting to 2/1 again, and the car felt normal; almost like in GT5 with this setting.
Every single car I've tested shows the same problem. And not only that, but I've noticed variations in the grip. I tested a 135i at the Nurburgring GP and it couldn't keep the tail straight. When going to the 135i Event, I noticed that even though the car is still tail happy, it was much more controllable.
EDIT: Changed title.
