Well my guy has raced a total of 28 hours at the 'ring, in the Minolta, and he still sucks. But I only have 5800 b-spec points and I heard that you need 7000 before he gets any good.
I won the "ring" with 4150 B-spec points. You should have no problems winning, with what you got.

Ya, me too. I was talking about Infineon raceway not the ring. I was just using that bit of info to say that my driver has some practice.

I cant rember for sure but I was pushing hard and driving mad because I got pushed off track, so I couldnt let the guy get away with what he did!

PS It was at the stock car course Im going to check and see what my lap really was

I hope you were wrong, saves my embarrassment. I thought most people will get a few seconds quicker then my time but 16 seconds is alot!!

Well I did a few more laps after a rigidity refresh and an oil change I got down to a 1'00.909
so I wasent losing my mind after all lol :)
Its not the fastest by any means but I'm happy with it :)

WHAT!!!! I suck so bad. What car did you do this in? What set-up? Tires etc?

Well first off Im sure ya dont suck:)
the car was 787B and I'll have to check on tires and set up because its been a while since I've looked at them.

I'm not the fastest at all ,I'm like a minicricket against all the fast guys but like I said I'm happy with my driving:)

I just try to keep running laps when ever I can to try and get that little bit better.
I'll post my tires and setup later on tonight
I'm watching the Sebring 12hr race right now

Ah I see the problem here, there are 2 Infineon courses one stock and the other is a Sports car course, I ran a 1'17.00 on the sports car course and I just went and drove the Stock car course and got a 59.293. So what do you get on the Sports Car Course? The picture below is hard to see cause of the glare but you can make out the time.

That lap was my first lap on a rolling start so I could do better, possibly.

What tires where ya using?
I was using R2's front and rear.

Well heres the trick, in GT mode you can race any track for 5 credits right? Go chuck on some Qualifying tires as they have the most grip, and warm up quickly.

Then goto your desired track and get cranking. No tire wear when just cruising around either.

I do photo drive alot and I gess I'm to lazy to change tires lol

But I'll give it a go and post some times tomorrow:)

PS sorry to go off topic but what other fast cars do you have.
theres so many sometimes I just dont know witch one to drive lol :)

At the moment not much, as I have only really got the cars I need and have won. Most I have never driven. And if a good car comes into the used car lots that has only had 10km on it I normally buy them if I ain't got one.

I have:

Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89 - 1216 Bhp
AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car '98 - 1031 Bhp
Cadillac CIEN '02 - 1023 Bhp
Toyota Woodone Tom's Supra (JGTC) '03 - 928 Bhp
Option Stream Z '04 - 916 Bhp

There my Top 5.

infineon sucks. they should have put road america instead. its the best road course in the U.S,

Road America is to the U.S what Spa-Franchorchamps is to Belgium

Agree with that! I'm from the Netherlands and Eurosport used to broadcast the American Le Mans Series (courtesy of ESPN), unfortunately they stopped it this season....as well as other American racing like IRL etc. Dunno why but I really think it's a shame. Especially liked the part just before the start/finish section, downhill fast!!!

Well I went ahead and did some laps at both Infineon course and for the sports car course I got a 1'12.237 and at the stock car course I got a 56.277 after I put some R5's on my 787B

Nice, now I am off to see what I can do.

I gave the Sports car Course another run, I got a 1'11.424

I gave it just about everything, still could shave off a second or 2 if I was a little cleaner.

No Problem, The F1 ain't onto later here. In about 7 hours time.

the way i find most enjoyable to play enduro races is to set my tires to medium on front + back and get a good lead in a=spec mode and after say a few laps when i need to have my first pit i pit in and change tires to hard back and medium front (if car is fr,mr) or hard on both for 4wd,ff cars then change spec to b-spec and let my driver take over. then yet again if i feel like doing a few laps half way thru i wait till he pits and take over. :) plus i always win without trouble/agro.

Heres my best effort at the stock car course, very close to yours.

Its a 56.315

I just did the Infineon Raceway Enurance the other night. By far the hardest B-Spec I've done. I battled the entire race. This was the first one I had to actually watch constantly. Heres how I did it:

1) CAR
Fully Tuned Toyota GT1

2) DRIVER COMMANDS
I was constantly coaching my driver, changing the commands:
a) Slow Down to Cruise on tight corners, depending on tire wear
b) Steady for average corners, depending on tire wear
c) Fast and sometimes Push for the wide corners or straights.
**Watch your driver and see what command is best for parts of the track he drives. If the "off the road" icon is popping up, you know you're telling him to go too fast for that particular part of the track. Slow him down by one command and then see how he takes the corners. This, with consideration for tire wear accounted for my fastest laps. If tires are fresh (blue) or diminshing orange/red then you'll have to reduce your speed commands.

3) OVERTAKE
Don't leave overtake on when its a tight race. I found that my driver trys to push too hard when overtake is on and makes mistakes. Use overtake when you are right behind someone. When there is noone immediately in front of my driver, he drives much smoother and faster when overtake is off.

4) PITTING
a) Pitting is crucial, I battled the leader, trading leads with him, the entire time. I used R1s in the rear and R2s in the Front. I had to tell my driver when to pit because he wanted to do a couple extra laps when the tires were turning orange/red. Ideally you should pit just before the tires turn orange, lap times start to get worse once your tires go orange.
b) Don't "fill er up". Find out how much fuel your driver is using before you need to pit and fill it up to about 2 or 3 incriments above whats needed. This saves time, alot.

5) Lastly, when it came to the end, there was only a few minutes left and we both had to pit. He pitted a few seconds before I did and left the pits before I did too. I stuck on R3s and R4s and caught up quick, passing him without a problem but the tires got yellow quicker than expected and the gap closed, yet I still held him off to win by 4 seconds. This isn't bad considering I was making mistakes throughout the race. My driver spun out about 5 times due to giving him the wrong speed command with relation to tire wear for a particular part of the track.

This was my B-spec strategy, take it for what its worth. I think if you used the F1 you would have no problem. I didn't want to use the F1 because I'm not sure if the F1's power decreases with miles and I don't know how to change the oil or even if you can change the oil in it, it wouldn't let me. I know I will need the F1 in the extreme events, so I want it in tip top shape.

I love Road America, and Road Atlanta too, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with Sears Point. It's one of my favorite tracks ever.

Why somebody could mourn the loss of, ohhh, SS R11 but hate Sears Point is beyond me.

[edit] One other thing that I've heard from people who I trust (I've run zero B-spec miles myself): do NOT change anything away from stock, even brake balance. The B-spec's driver appears to have a preprogrammed set of values to use for a given car, and it you push the car away from that, he doesn't adapt very well.
