From anime called "Lucky Star," apparently. Keisuke's FD (or a similar car) is beat by the character's Vivio RX-RA.

I'm not normally a big fan of anime, but I have to say this video is quite humorous. 👍 Those facial expressions of those two bystanders were priceless.

They looked like Takumi and..."Iggy"... (Can't remember his name) too.

[fanboy]Keisuke is the one who drives yellow FD, and Ryosuke has white FC.[/fanboy] :sly:

I think she's actually supposed to be like, i dunno, grandma-age, but to tell the truth, i haven't a clue.

Iketani and Itsuki, the guy with the white is Itsuki (Iggy in Tokyopop's dubbing) and Iketani (Cole in Tokyopop's dub) in the green. You can tell from the haircuts, but they didn't do the normal thing for Iketani where he has a Nismo/Nissan shirt on.

Hell, the even parodied the music. Sounds like it could be in Initial D at frist, but I know its not in any of the anime, at all. Starts out like a more recent opening for the anime, which was Move's track Noisy Tribe...

... And no, I'm not a fanboy... no, never, Whats Initial D? Anime? Drifting? Not a fanyboy, no sir... :dopey:

Ah, thank you.

I'm a casual fan, I guess that's why I make so many errors.

I did notice the Noisy Tribe parody, there.

Wow, can't believe Lucky Star managed to get its way onto GTPlanet. I remember this scene, one of the more amusing moments and a great ID parody.

I don't think the music there has been identified yet, it seems pretty certain that it's a Move song but it's unknown if it's a specially composed track or not - it shows up again, sans vocals, in a completely different Lucky Star episode, which, like 99% of the show, has nothing to do with anything.

It's a very random show to be sure, so don't go looking around for more Initial D parodies from it. There's a couple other anime references (Haruhi seems the most prevalent), as one character is an avid anime watcher and gamer.

Fanboy what now? :dopey:

EDIT: Mk 2? What was Mk 1? I remember Initial T, and vaguely some scene from somewhere where the AE86 got outrun by a bicycle, but if there's another parody I'm missing, do tell. :)

The Bicycle one. That was the last one I put up. I also had found one in that thread that featured a battle between a Skyline GT-R and a Honda NSX, which, when I stop and think about it, was a bit like a cross between Initial D and Kaido Battle...

EDIT: Found 'em.
