Believe or not, the newbie still stayed and started to talk trash. But we all ignored him and movwed on with life.

That's the way to do it! I have a bad habit of bumping too, but my worst habit is cutting people off non-stop. I raced my friend 8 times because I kept blocking him off. He was all pissed off at me, " LET ME PASS, YOU 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 " He had his Evo at this time, and I had my RX-7 Type R. It was hillarious. Every finish, He'd be right on my bumper and I'd just slow down while he was behind me and I'd win by like..3 meters. Funny stuff. But then a magical bump appeared on my head after I beat him a few times more. :banghead: :trouble:  :grumpy: Then I taught him a valuable lesson: CUTTING PEOPLE OFF IS PART OF THE GAME! DRIFTING AROUND SOMEONE IS EASIER THAN TRYING TO FISHTAIL IN A GAME THAT WON'T LET YOU.

I always play fair, not like other **** heads they try to block you. But some times its so tempting to block people of especially if the car is a primal car for the track. Sometimes stupid people think that I block, but I was using my racing line.

Most people can't beat me on Happo, I think thats the only track that I got the fewest losses (V.1, V.2, & even V.3), and I'm still using a DC2 on all of these versions.

I remember once when Version 2 just came out, and I bought an blue IS300 (errr...Altezza...). I foolishly left "Accepting Challengers!" on, and this guy with a 400k Evo IV challenged me to Akagi DH/Dry/Day. And I beated him. A 400k Evo IV lost to a 0k IS300 (uh, excuse me, Altezza). So he took me to Akina UP/Dry/Night. I won again. So he hang around. When I was done beating Iggy with his Levin AE85, my card came out. He snatched it and ripped it in half. Of course, I was like, "WTF?". He threw it on the floor and left. His girfriend then gave me $2.00. I still laugh when I think about it. This was back in San Francisco, CA when I was vacationing with my Mom's relatives.

With that $2.00, I bought a red SilEighty, Course B. I still have it today. It only has 33,000-ish points.

Sore Loser.

ahahha all funny stories i just use my bump on iro jumps trick to mess them up and give them scares. No one ever tried to rip my card or steal it though but this one time this guy tried to mess me up while i was blocking him he changed my view and and crap.I stood behind him for a while after that and then at this one turn i shifted down 3 times for him then i whipped past the hairpins then won he wanted to fight me and wrestle me or some garbage i was like do what u want hes like "aight i see u foo ill come back next time with my ek9 and woop yo a$$" lol pretty funny :)

some1 that rips ur card!? Shoulda K.O. the mofo!!! Theres the long debate about blocking in racing.. the way i see it.. if u cant overtake them then obviously means that you might not be good enough, he might be very good blocker, or ur passing skills just plainly SUCK! You should see the leet blocking skills in the japanese tournaments and the way they overtake.. the kamikaze ramming.. way too good!

I know a very good player that may kamikaze just to take the lead and after that he MUST block to retain his lead.. thing with iD is that anything happens.. if u let them pass its ur fault coz the thing is most likely most will not return the favour.. all i say is dont expect them to do the same coz if u the chance the block and win that way why not choose that option? If u dont like ppl blocking u may as well just play TA and not verse anyone at all..

I don't pass on straight aways. I bump them on straight aways. I pass in corners. Sometimes they just don't carve the Out-In-Out correctly.

Same here ive never passed in a straightaway. The other day i played initial d. I raced my brother on Akagi/uh/wet my fd3s his evo 3. I win. Later i battled this one guy that has set records on every course except Akagi which is i guess what you would call my home track. I went to challenge him on it and then hes like no akagi. So i picked Akina/dh/dry. He uses a 400k s2k against me. Boost is off, and the battle is in my favor the whole time untill on a turn towards the end he out braked me and won. Later i battled another evo. on Akagi/dh/dry i murdered him with boost off. After we battle on irohazaka/dh/dry he murdered me. After that we talked a little and then i had to go.

K.O. him?! He's a Asian guy that looks like he does boxing...

Kamikaze ramming...

My style of passing people depends on the situation. If the person is a clean racer (doesn't block you like a mofo), I always pass him/her after the corner (on which whoever exits the corner the fastest) and pass him/her before the next corner shows up. But if he/she is a mother******, tail-nose effect becomes evident, you try to pass hin/her but won't let you. What I do is pass the mofo during the cornering (depends on the strategy and the situation of the corner), and then using my racing line to block the mofo.

Questions about Akina:

1) Can you use the gutter trick?
2) If you can, where are the gutters?
3) If you can, how do you do it?

^ Very simple, but hard nonetheless.

1) Yes you can.

2) Almost everywhere in Akina, every time you see those gutters.

3) Thats that tough part, when you enter on of these gutters, without practice it will slow you down tremendously. But with practice, it will reduce understeer drastically. Its very hard to explain it through here, I have to show it to you personally the proper way to use the gutter trick.

BTW, when are you going back to the Orleans?

:)

on akina a lot of the road does have gutters on the sides... some places no and not all are necessary to use.. there are 4 main sections to gutter.

-1st being the S bend tho this may not apply to all cars as for my GDB ive came out 162 without gutter with the correct line. Faster cars will need to gutter the 2nd turn in for the S bend for e.g. the 86.

-2nd being the RHOD (this is known as the "right hand of death") for most players and this comes right after the S bend. This is the gutter bend right b4 cp2 and i tend to start braking after the 2nd yellow street sign( i really cant remember if its there's 2 as ive stopped playing akina for months now!) and slowly turn into the bend, then at the right point full lock and try to catch the gutter then floor it.. once ive come really close to the gutter i genereally go off the brakes so i dont turn too much and EAT the gutter. For the GDB the best ive come out was 134km/h i think but obviously better cars on akina can go faster.. i think trueno can do it at 140-145.. higher speeds using feint drift(in-out-in) but i just do the simple out-in-out.

-3rd section is the consecs where most ppl enter and start braking at the start of the last rumble strips where u wanna gutter the 1st consec to give u the proper line for the 2nd consec of the 5. I find this really hard to do in v3 and most of the consecs i dont manage to gutter. Then the 3rd consec is quite easy to gutter and then u got the 4th which i never mange to ever gutter at a proper speed.. if u manage to gutter all 4 out of 5 of the consecs id say u could shave off a second compared to not guttering the 2nd-4th gutters depending on ur current turning skills. 5th consec there is no gutter to gutter hehe

-4th and last place to gutter is right near the finish.. i tend to go off gas once i come near the big blue sign on the top left and not long turn in slowly and try to catch the gutter..GDB ive guttered maybe around 162 or so.. if guttered properly ive heard u can shave off .3 sec off ur TA time if done correctly..

all up guttering is very dependant if u want a decent akina run and if u want an even faster time ud start learning to feint drift but i wouldnt suggest until u got the basic out-in-out locked down! Have fun attacking akina! My end time for akina dh wif GDB was 3'06'7xx i think and i gave up after achieving that.. quite average time tho

I remembered that I excuted the hairpin before CP-2 and I was going 138 kp/h on my DC2 by hanging .03 sec on the gutter and letting go afterwards. It was very surprising, because before I hit the checkpoint I was doing 153 kp/h, quite amazing for me.

After that moment, I never went pass 134 kp/h average.

PS-> This happend only on V.2.

I don't feint in Akina, only in Irohazaka, what I did was after a slow deceleration from 173 km/h to upper 130's, I turned the car sharply and hit the gutters after that. I have to excute the perfect apex to attain high speed on the hairpin.

guttering sometimes and just corenering sometimes just do whats easier for you.If ur good at gutters then gutter. But dont try and risk a race if your not experienced.

I'm looking for Initial D Version 3 in NJ, but I currently have to drive over an hour down to the beach to play on the boardwalk. Does anybody know where there are arcades in NJ with a version 3 set up? Initial D really is like crack in an arcade machine :dopey: and I need a new supplier... already going through withdrawl... :scared: and I know I'm driving down tonight  .

AP1 - once u get the hang of akina ull start to gutter naturally.. thing is if uve played akina since v1 u shoulda learnt to gutter back then..

tkd go to wayne new jersey in bergen county and look for willowbrook mall and there u will see the fun n games arcade has ver 3 there and lots of ppl that play it including me.
