Initial D Staging Area

I've beaten a full tuned BNR34 with a stock RX-7 Spirit....And the guy that owns the BNR34 works at the arcade. Lmao. I must agree with you though about that....BUT STILL. I MEAN, I BEAT ANOTHER PERSON YESTERDAY BY 1,300 METERS! Usui again..My RX-7 which was at about 60K at that time. His Celica which was at about 200K. It was insane. :( First time he ever lost, and he had beaten every person at his arcade at the next town over.

Me [aka. M L L ] and JPN just raced V.3 at Sun Coast last night, and raced the best guy who races there. Actually there were two of them (I can't recall of their names). One uses an FT-DC2 that has 4.8M and a battle level of 23, and the other guy uses an FT-EA11R that has 3.5M and a battle level of 25. I raced both of them (with my BT-DC2 A/T [not transferred] with a puny 200K points), the first battle was w/ the DC2 in Happo-OB-D, he won by 90m, after that it was Happo-IB-D I beat him by 125m. Then the one with the EA11R was next and he raced me at Akagi-DH-D and I narrowly beat him by 130m, then he got all cocky and arrogant in front of 10 people that races in Sun Coast (most of the guys there doesn't like those two). And then him without thinking he raced me on his ace track (which is to me was a chapshot), Akina-DH-D, in which he peanut me by 300m, what s***! But most people was in shock that me (a 200K guy) that beats or catches up with guys the with FT-more than a million points. My question is, was the race was related to skill or by the how many points that it has on the car.

And my friend JPN, beat the Akagi-UH-D record, the previous record was 2'40.xxx on an Altezza, he beat it using an Evo V.

Too bad AP1, you were not there. :)

akagi uh dry wif 2'40? thats quite slow, my last time wif GDB was 2'35 and thats still damn slow.. a decent time would be about 2'30 and less..

TVB - the match on akina still came down to skill. The game is still down to skill. If both players are same skilled then it comes down to car. Tho it was clearly his advantage as the cappo (EA11R) is one of the top cars for akina (think 2nd best) but then again its normal for ppl to lose and then resort to a map that favours them.. its not uncommon but normal..

^ I already knew that he's going to use Akina-DH-D against me to save his pathetic ego. Because he thinks he invinsible on Akina, but still on my personal note, he should've selected a much decent and fair course. When he did select Akina, everyone by the machine booed him and calling him a 'cheapshot'.

Usui is victorious! I beat a BNR34 Skyline that had 1,000,000+ on it. It was crazy. Used my S-15. Counter Clockwise, Wet, Night. I gained a whole level from that guy. It was awesome.

yes each to their own but personally i find it normal for someone to resort to a map that favours them. I spose they dont wanna spend anymore and risk losing. But usually if its a fair player and someone i know personally e.g. through an iD forum they will usually choose a fair map..

things like in ur case always happen, cant do much about it but keep on battlin' If ur good and up to it you may win. Personally at first (i used to take the game very seriously and expected most to play fair) i used to think ppl should always battle fair but then after i accepted the fact that everyone is different where some choose to play fair while others play less fair. In the end i expect them to take me to their home course after if i win, if they dont and choose a map that is fair once again then i see that as a bonus for me :)

I think the cheapest times was the DC2 reign in v2. Where one wif a dc2 would take an FR to a wet map leaving the FR no chance to win (maybe boost on). In the end i just say "anything goes with iD, expect to be fished and if u get all *****y about it then ur probably taking the game too serious" 👎

-> But thats not alway been the case on Myogi, Usui, and Akagi wet tracks on which the V.2 DC2 performed like s***. Even thou they said that I'm 'invinsible' back then, I always fear if someone wants to race me on one of these wet courses. Heh, heh, the best time I'd ever been on my 5 million point DC2 Akagi-DH-W on V.2 was a patheic 2'28.xxx, compared to my GC8V (barely BT about 90K points, but its one of my top cars on V.3 now) was 2'29.xxx. :indiff:

Anyhow, good thing I wasn't as hardcore as before. I concentrate now more on illustrating mangas/animes. :)

-> Heh, heh, I will also have the same feeling every time I use a Silvia [S13, RPS13, S14, and S15] on Usui. :)

S-15 has the best acceleration in Version 3. But only if you know how the shift points, like me. I have never been out-accelerated by a manual car. But I usually get ahead of the Automatics, but then they get ahead of me for another gear, and then I catch up really quick.

Then you would have no qualms about the Skyline bringing you to Myogi then? Because you fished him and he has the right to fish you back. Using ANY Silvia to bring a Skyline to Usui is considered bad form.

BTW the Altezza is starts faster than the GDB everywhere except Irohazaka and wherever the GDB gets the advantage lane like Tsuchizaka left option's right lane and right option's left lane.

^ I can't get the hang of using a GC8V on Iroh., every time I use each hairpin on that course, this car performs like a tortoise! Good thing that this car feints if I wanted to (unlike the DC2 in V.3, but the DC2 works on V.1 and V.2).

-> Another thing, is the RX-8 a decent car? Because I'm planning to build one, but I'm not so used to 6-speed. But I will try a stock one and test it on few tracks on the story mode.

:)

I raced a Automatic Altezza, once. Wasn't that hard to beat off the line, but he got ahead of me for about 60 meters. Than I caught up to him at a turn, cut past him and I lead the rest of it.

it is best Wet and Dry but the 6 speed is kinda a problem for the Common 5 gear transmission users. well if i were u TVB try it out first then if u like it Buy one. but for me i dont really like FR cars in this game. it feels weird for me.

the rx8 is tricky to use. On the iR it does very well but for the average driver it might cause some problems. But i think thats always been the case for most of the FR cars being drifty sometimes or just unforgiving at unexpected times.. im picking up iD again lol, starting a white s13 wif c tune rice kit, will be ok, play once a week hopefully!

tvb - try the rx8 on akagi dh dry and tsuch oB and see how it feels, rememeber for the first consecs enter in 5th gear, ull get used to 6 gear cars, u just gotta get used to taking pins in 5th gear rather than 4th :)

^ Hmm, thats interesting, so the 5-6 gears are like 4-5 gears, well thats not much of a problem since I always use A/T. But back then (V.1 & V.2), 6-speeds are a b*tch to drive. I agree with you, the FR's handles the road weired but on my personal opinion (based on real life driving) it handle more of a 4WD than FR.

^ I'm used twitchy cars (like the EA11R) even with a steering rating of 8, but I haven't touched the RX-8, so I'll make a test drive the next time I see a InD machine.

Thanks for the advise guys! :)

hey guys i need help with something! I was wondering how do you feint drift. i did this a little bit on GT3 but i still didnt understand it. i need help with this thing and i need help doing it on iD. thnx in advanced!

feint is a hard technique, ive tried doing it but have got even slower times. Really advanced technique that should be tried when uve pushed near the limits of normal Out-in-out technique. A basic example for the first hairpin turn on akina is stay on inside line, start to turn in once u reach the yellow street sign, once u reach the full of the outside lane u should turn IN at the same point where ud naturally turn in if it was Out-In-Out technique.. a good way to see this is dl clips with feint but other than that i wouldnt suggest intermediate players to do it.. more of an advanced technique.. u can try 5 in 4 out, thats quite good too coz wen u 4 out u pick up the high RPM's..

^ It's hard to explain it by words, but I usually do it in real life every time I feel like drifting on my Protege5, you have to do a feint drift especially on a FF car because I have to shift the weight of the car to the back to make rear end of the car to oversteer.

The safest way is do it is on your Nokia cellphone or a boxy TV remote control that has not much friction then lightly press your index finger on the heaviest part of the device, your finger represents the drivetrain of the car and pull it as if like an FF car.

As of now there is no Arcade or console game that can replicate a feint drift perfectly, the closest game that repliate the style is on V.2 with a DC2 on Iroh. and Akina (especially on the 5 hairpins). But that has dissapeared when V.3 came out, that why I like V.2 than V.3.

:)

Heh. My technique has a name, but I don't know it. I just call it, " MY TECHNIQUE DUN DUN DUN " and yeah. You shouldn't focus on explaining it, but actually doing it. I find it easier to create your own method. Worked for me. I used ABS Drift for a while with my old RX-7, then I get smart and switched around and changed my style into what I use to this day. Hasn't failed me yet, when I think about it.

Anyway, I was stranded at my Arcade today from 2:30 till about...9:30. I had 30 dollars with me at the beginning, zero at the end. It was well worth it, though. I gained a lot of points. Silvia is now at 520K, and I have an Aura now!!! Yay!

i need some clips of feint drifting! Well i've been playing since ver.1 came. and i think thats about 2 or 3 years ago. i forget but anyway ill try that from 5 to 4 then turn is that right? or is it from 5 to 4 brake then turn gas right away? please need some help i quit for like 3 months so i havent been keeping up lately. but i started again about a month ago. well thnx for any suggestions.

Well from the initial d forums. they say that u need to slightly turn earlier then down shift brake. is this right? i tried it on Special Stage but im still trying to get my timing of turning right.
