Initial D Staging Area

sup plz havvnt posted in a while so heres what happened so far, we got ver 3 i started with se3p but i din like it so im back wth my baby lol...yelloy FD3s1 K.T. style..lol i played lass night n im on TA n Akina snow, i need help with snow, any pointers?
 
just brake longer through the turn all the way till the apex even.. it helps to clear the bend coming out a medium/slow speed then going through at high speed and kissing the rails

Well put. Another tip is: Downshift before you even hit the turn, release the gas while turning the wheel for the turn, then accelerate and shift mid-drift. It'll " launch " you into a better turn, and make your car faster as you work out of the turn. Works for me. :sly:
 
I went to The Orleans today to play Initial D Ver. 2 so I can build up more points when I transfer my info to Version 3. So I got to the arcade, got some change, and then cashed them into quarters. Then I saw it: Initial D Version 3. So of course, I transfered my card, blah blah blah, and played. But the weird thing is, everyone is looming over this new game called Maximum Tune. What in blue blazes is that? There was literally no line for Version 3. And what's even weirder, there's only one pair of Version 3 machines. There was another pair across from it, Version 2...

WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY ONLY UPGRADE ONE MACHINE??!!

I saw that a couple of people are still very fond of Version 2. Some ignored Version 3 and went to play Version 2...why? It's the same price ($1.00 a play)...

BEFORE (Ver. 2, transferred data to Ver. 3):

Test drove the RX-7 FC (horrible :yuck: ) and bought a new manual S2000 in red, Course C. Currently, it only has 4,000 points. :lol: I lost my white one. :grumpy:

I love Version 3!! Much better than Version 2. The cut scenes were...chaotic. They must've thought I'm a different driver ("The previous owner of the FD could push it to the limits." "Yup...it's the same FD." "I don't like that car. It brings back bad memories." "It's definitely the same FD, but the plates have changed. It looks a lot more modded though."). And when I beat Hawk's Evo IV, Kyle or whoever punched him... :odd: And Takumi thought I wanted to steal his car ("What do you want from this Eight Six? It's mine!"). :lol:

No trouble so far. Except I wanted to grab a fire extinguisher and hurl it at the machine when I lost to Tak on Akina by 3 meters... :ouch:

I promise you, I know how to shift with the Spirit. But the car was a TOYOTA MR-S EDITION ZZW30. It pulled on me for about 10 meters, not that big of a diference, but it could've made a difference. I passed him up after I nailed top end of 4th gear.

Just wondering, did the shift points for the RX-7 Spirit in Version 3 changed? Mine went a bit slower than usual. And 6 Speed cars go faster than 5 Speed cars.

Maximum Tune? Haven't heard of that one yet. Oh well..People will get tired of that probably and retreat back to Initial D, whether it be Version 3 or 2. It brings a tear to the eye when you lose a race by less than the car's total length. Oh well, better luck next time(s). :D

The steering is very loose. I nearly broke my wrist when I attacked those hairpins.

I've never played Version 2, but the six speed cars seem to be the better cars over all. 5 Speeds are good, I'll give them that. But their top end in 5th gear blows. Specially with the RX-7 Spirit. When I changed from my Spirit to my Silvia S15 six speed, it was like I had god's powers. Big difference in speeds. But automatic cars are faster over any speed car.

A reason I bought a Silvia S14 Q (YES A Q!!! IT LOOKS GORGEOUS IN COURSE A!!!). I use that car to line up, and when it's my turn, I tuck it away in my pocket and take out my real monster. Either the RX-7 Spirit or the S2000.

And then, I was racing this fully stock Manual 4WD Skyline yesterday, and I was whooping on him until the second check point. He was going 214 km/h! I was like HOLY S***! My car was barely breaking 202. I beat him by like 39 meters in the end, though. But none the less, that thing was cruisin! I couldn't believe it. That race took place in Myougi, and then he raced me again in Akina. I whooped him by 600+ meters. It was quite funny.

Sharking people, eh? Good job. That's what I do. I use my almost bone stock Bunta Car, and then I bust out my Silvia.

:lol: Skylines have high top speeds and they're excellent on Myogi.

Its basically almost the same thing as Initial D , except theres no drifitng or snow courses involved, its all highway courses(think of it as Tokyo Extreme Racing on arcade but with much better graphics then Initial D V3). The only problem is that there isn't a lot of cars to choose from because they only picked the cars that have 6 gears. Theres Gamballa, Nissan, MAzda, Mitsubishi, Nissan , Subaru(with the new Legacy and STi), and Toyota. I tried it , it was pretty fun , I mgiht change to Maximum Tune(starting to get bored of V3).

Oh I see. Sounds a bit dull without the drifting. But the fact that it takes place on high way courses makes it a bit more realisitic.

the shift points for the FD are abt the same i reckon. 6 gear cars have always been faster off the start than the 5 gear cars but they're top end gears have usually been slower. The 6 gear cars usually have a very strong 1-3 gears and they're 4-6 gears are average..

u chose the s14q? It actually is one of the best for akagi, i think 1st or 2nd for akagi dh.. and it does ok on akina too.. the silvia's this time seem to be alright for v3..

What? NO HONDA S2000?! 🤬 :mad: At least they have the '05 Legacy, everyone will be :odd: and they'll be gawking at me. But I don't like Subaru because...of their commercials...
 
"Gemballa" is Porsche...I can drive a Porsche?! Or a Chaser? Or the Evo VIII?! Or the new STi?!

Initial D (or Sega) is in trouble...
 
parts change is still there in v3 if thats wat ur asking.. same thing happens wen u transfer a car from v1 to 2.. it waits till it catches up on all the upgrades to ur current amount of points ur car has then it will start asking..

only the Japanese version of maximum tune has the gemballas.. seems like most ppl at my arcade are playing maximum tune rather than iD v3.. i know i have :)
 
This is good I guess. No more lines for Initial D. Then I can play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play...I don't need to line up my card and then wait for newbs choosing a car, not knowing you can change the color of the car, picks Myogi, and starts ramming the **** out of each other...

Maybe I'll change to Maximum Tune when my RX-7 Spirit R is Full Tuned and when I'm tired of my S2000 (which will be a while). If I do play, I'm choosing '05 Legacy or the Evolution VIII. Maybe the '04 STi will have a chance too. Backstabber... :D
