Initial D Staging Area

I think that the RX-8 is not very adaptable to drive when using A/T. Because the last time I used the RX-8 (which it was Teuch-OB-D) it just plow one corner after another not like the Evo V which the rear-end just keep snapping left-to-right, in which I like that in a car. :)

Vanishing Boy: If you're in Vegas this weekend, the Orleans arcade is having an Initial D v3 tournament you could clean house at.

The Vanishing Boy
Nah, what are the rules thou?

I know you! :)
Yes, yes you do! Finally got off my ass and registered here. :D
Rules went something like this -- Everyone drives the same stock car on Usui to determine seeds for the main tournament. First round, high seed chooses track, low seed chooses conditions. Semifinal round uses the same seeding, this time it's best 2 of 3 races. Final round, same seeding, best 3 of 5 races.

There was a chance the arcade may not have gotten the minimum # of entrants for the national tournament. If that happened (not sure), they had kicked around the idea of just doing touge battles.

Official rules were scanned and posted here:

lucky u guys got tournaments and stuff. Places in sydney get crap all.. dont even have like happy hour where u pay $10 for 1hrs play.. unlike the good ol days back in the mid 90s

This was some national thing setup by Namco Cybertainment. I've actually worked out some rough rules for holding a touge battle tournament, hope I can put them to use sometime.

^ Well I'm not that hardcore as before anymore when V.3 came out so there is very little chance for me to join the tourny. :indiff:

You and me both. I've practically dropped off the face of the earth after v3 came out. I just don't have the money or the will to reinvest into my cars for a 3rd time.
As it sounds they chose the DC2 for the stock qualifying car, so you could have easily taken top seed. ;D

3...3! 3 God damn weeks without internet. I was so deprived. :( Anyway...The kid in the S-15 is back..WITH AN EVO. III!

Welcome, |K|Y|L|E|X|.
You last visited: 10-13-04 at 3:23 PM <- :: Cringe. ::

Yeah. I haven't beaten the two men in the evos with my S-15, and that's how far it is with 1,700,000+. And my Evo III which I started about a week ago is at about 510,000+, and I beat the game quickly with it. I found it amazing that the Evo III was so much better than the S-15, but if I was racing myself with either of the cars, it'd be different. I'm not sure, but yeah. I'm now the most feared Evo. III driver at my arcade. I stole that title from this one guy who also had an Evo III, but it was ugggggggggly! Anyway. A Option, which so happens to be with the Misfiring System and Option for Kyle :D...Black..

Anywho, it's good to be back on GTP. I've got some catching up to do as I've noticed already.

1.7 mill and still not able to beat 2 guys wif the evo? Thats quite sucky.. hmmm

ive got an e3 as well.. handles too easy on akagi dh im eating walls.. my uh time wif it is crap too wif a crappy '31'xxx @ 400k

I'm good with the S-15 on the men in the evo course. I'm not sure why, but I just can't beat them. I'll beat them pretty soon. Same thing happened when I started racing K.T back in the day. Took me until about 700,000 to beat him. LOL. I hate Akagi, though. I'm good on it, just dislike racing on it. Plus, I'm using the Paper cup instead of a map when I race my cars. I bet if I had my map ON during the races against the Men in the Evos, I'd beat them. But I'm trying to memorize them. And I've only tried racing those guys about 2 times each. Then I just said, F*c* it. :: Shrug. :: I'm retiring my Silvia to just racing people on Usui if they can beat my Evo III there. I've been using my Evo III non-stop lately. Didn't use it once last night, and it was unlimited play from 12 AM to 6 AM.

how bout putting the map back on so its easier.. if its inbound i think theres 1 area where u brake a bit for the rollercoaster bends, mid section i think its all flooring till the part of the witches hats. Then after those high speed hairpins a lil tap of brake.. shouldnt be too hard

Naw. I know Shomaru good, and I'm good on it. Just can't seem to use my S-15 there like I used to. Oh well, not like it really matters. I'm keeping the S-15 a strict secret for a while. I'll bust it out if there is a newbie there who thinks he can beat anyone ( It's happened again, and again, and again. )

i've already beaten the game and im at 600k+ so far. i ve just been playing bunta challenge. I only got 3 losses on my Ev0 IV. I got 32 wins on it. I dont use it as much. i use my itr for battles mostly.

v3 is way too boring.. i went back to a v2 machine and played some stock akina games wif cappo, so fun.. especially feinting the RHOD.. so easy as well! I think im gonna go back to using stock cars to battle ppl... wanna give the altezza a go since its acceleration is abt same as the GDB's..

Started my team officially today, registered it on IDX.

...Anyway. Went to the arcade yesterday, and busted out my RX-7 Spirit R just for the hell of it. I did a TA on Usui CCW, and got first place. Beat a 900K Trueno, and I know the guy. He's quite good. I found it a little weird that a Spirit R got first place on that place.

they're both abt the same.. they're about nearly 2seconds slower than the best cars on usui, that being the sil80 or 180sx.. wat was ur time for usui ccwise?

how are they BS? If u play heaps of TA it allows u to scrape off so much of ur time.. but if ur in an area wif all noobs and just wanna get first place without caring about the end time then thats alright if that tickles ya fancy..

hey i'm pretty new to initial d. i've played version 2 a few times, but version 3's a little diff... anyone have any pointers or tips? like wut car to get and crap like that?

A Toyota! lol i have the trueno with A upgrade. Once i picked the sliver silvia on accident when i only had up to a foglight upgrade. And some how i cought up and bet him. My friend tryed it in his celica but couldn't do it. then he got a fd and still could'nt do it.
If you wanna know what u get with that upgrade option just go to this site
http://initiald.sega.jp/english/ and click on car. :) good luck man

Man not many posts here anymore...Kyle i've had an s15 for a while just never used it...Can you give me some pointers on where it's good at and stuff?
