Instruction for setting up and using G25 on ps3 please!

Plug and play, now it depends on the game you play as some might not support it but most will.
 
Got the G25 working now. Seems the power connection is important. Geez, I had it plugged in when I set it up but moved it around a bit and didn't know I had lost power. Heh, so much for attention to detail.

So, the wheel is working fine. I don't guess there are any button assignment changes I can make since it's not listed as a supported wheel in the GT5P hardware menu? I hope the full game release is updated to include this wheel. It would be really nice to assign the left/right looking to the paddles on the steering column since I prefer using the shifter.

Back on topic though. As others have already said the Logitech G25 is compatible with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong but there is no setup to perform other than plugging ALL cables into the wheel housing and running the USB to the PS3. Then, just get ready to learn how to drive again if you've been using a six-axis previously.

You can re-assign buttons by doing under the DFP's menu, which also works on the G25. Here is a picture of the G25 layout with Playstation labels to use for a guide

I need some help as well. My G25 works almost fine with GT5P, but whenever I'm driving & I turn the wheel, I suddenly lose speed. If I straighten the wheel though, my acceleration comes back. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've been searching for an hour on the PS3 browser for any answer & have zero luck.
 
Thanks for the info in this thread. Very helpful. I would add:

Press "triangle" (top unmarked button above the directional pad) while in a race in GT5P to activate the clutch. This only works in the H gate configuration. Clutch support is

Paddle shifters on the steering wheel are only active when the wheel is in the Sequential configuraion.


Just replaced my Dual Force Pro with the G25. After the 4th time I had to open the DFP to fix it I gave up. Although my DFP did make it through 4 years of frequent use.

Turn off all assists (ASM and Traction Control)
 
Anyone knows if you can reduce the force feedback in the G25 with a combination of buttons like in the DFP (in a PS3)?

The FF is too strong in NASCAR 09 in the PS3 and there's no option to soften it in the game.

As far as I know when you alter the settings for the Driving Force Pro in GT5: Prologue it works with the G25. Does NASCAR 09 have settings for the Driving Force Pro? If so, alter them and see what happens.
 
Hi there

Just want to know, how to activate the clutch always ON, without having to press the O button averytime a race begin. (in the G25)

Any one knows?

Not possible mate. Every time you want to use the clutch in GT5: Prologue you have to press the top black button (triangle).

Is it possible to make one of the g25 buttons work as a "PS" button?
Currently I have to resort to using another controller.

See if this helps with your G25 wheel setup.As far as the wheel turning on the 3 2 1 just hold on to your wheel. (it's kind of like in GT4 when it would say get ready to {drive?} the wheel would feel sponge.

I just bought a g25 used on the internet. I am trying to get Gran Turismo 5 to work on PS3. Everything is hooked up and works except for the 6 speed shifter. The gears do not change unless i put it in paddle shift mode. When I try to select gears with the 6 speed nothing happens. Is there some sort of setting up I need to do to get this to work? I know the shifting unit is properly connected because everything works but the shifter. I find it hard to believe every gear is broken. Please help!

(I have tried hitting the triangle button at the beggining of the race as well)

Make sure that the round dial right behind the shifter handle is in the correct position as in the above picture notice how the "red" line on the dial is pointing to the gate pattern. Note if you dont have the maunal you have to have the knob in netural and then push down on dial to be able to turn it.
 
I do have the knob shown above in the correct position. It still doesnt work. Is there maybe a setting in the game or something I need to mess with?
