Does it work?
I know the traction control light works but i've never seen the petrol or oil light work :dunce:

What mode do they work in, if they work at all?

Thanks

lol, They are not going to work because you don't have to worry about fuel or engine problems. Short races. Don't have to worry about tire wear. Its all good!

Some cars like the Ford GT, the OIL, and other instruments do work, it does not work for EVERY CAR, but for the more detailed ones it does work, When you slow down in the Ford GT, pay attention to OIL gauge, it will drop, when you speed up, it will raise again. Some cars that have turbos, the gauges in car cockpit will work for the turbo as well. I am sure by end of full game, FUEL, OIL, boost pressure, HEAT, and other sensors will work as well. SO no worries, if they work now, it is for sure it will work in GT5.

actualy i think he meant the indicators on the right side of the screen that stay unlite. like when you would have to change your oil in GT4 the oil lamp light came on in the corner of the screen or when you ran low on gas the gas light came on. there there in GT5 they just wont light up.

They will work in the final version of GT5, where fuel and oil will be consumed.

First I've herd of this!! Can you provide proof to back-up this claim?
Obviously fuel will be dynamic but oil consumption is a new one on me.

I think he's going on the fact that GT4 had oil consumption.

That, combined with the on-screen oil indicator that's part of the game HUD.

I saw one of the gauges on the RX-8 dash move earlier today, but I'm not sure what it was.. the one on the left.. oil temperature, maybe? Creeped up a little after a few laps of time trial.

Many of the cars in GT5P have working oil pressure gauges as noted (and some with boost gauges), and some tuned versions also have added oil pressure gauges :)

I look forward to see what they do in GT5, I am quite sure the oil light be there on the HUD and work like GT4, I just hope the dash light also works, aswell as other things like odometer, fuel gauge etc.
