I think it will be, it's a new track for everyone. Some have more practice than others, but you didn't do to bad when you were on it last time with me. You are more of a natural talent than myself so I need more practice than you to stay competitive :)

And what F1 Team/racer do you have as your personal favourite?

Everyone is my favourite in F1 ;) But if you made me pick, it would of course have to be McLaren.

I need a new wheel & pedals, but that's not high up on my priorities at the moment.

I should buy the DLC with the winnings from the casino this week :D I will try and get a hour practice before the race

Also after, a few friends of mine host an event on Saturday nights for casual fun and drink driving racing xD. Any of you up for taking part after?

Might join you all for some practice but I won't be able to make the race .

feel free to join m8 no problem imo.. ur a part of the championship 👍

believe it or not i did't race on Spa since the DLC-release. I only did some laps whit the cockpit camara from a Caterham seven and a few laps whit on of the new touring cars. So i have no real practise on this track.

After my first steps on this track whit my Honda Arta NSX i got a high 2:12. But whats a good time on this track.

I think we might see 2:10 today. I managed a 2:11.4xx but its a pretty long track so just small improvement in each corner could mean a lot.

haven't practiced at all this week

i think 2.9 is possible & we'll be seeing 10's alot

How many laps overall and hards for tonight?

i never did this season :scared: only on saturdays... befor the race a little

the only race i had practiced was nurb :dunce:

I've just discovered that my Windows 7 is vastly corrupt and I can't even access my OS X partition on my dualbooted iMac at the moment, so whether it not I'm at the race tonight will depend on how long this takes me to fix.

hey guys i cant do todays race my son broke my disc so i got to get a new one but dont have the money for it so good luck at spa and i will see you all in the preseason

How is this related to GT5 ?? :odd:

We need you there Arkano, fix your computer tomorrow :)

Come online and do some warm up laps and lets have some fun 👍

Having access to my partition of over 6 years of data is somewhat important :sly:

Sorry for quitting dudes but I joined here for fun and being smashed off on a straight on lap 1 is not really fun lol. Not going to sit here doing 45 laps on my own in a car what is not even broken in so I was getting mugged on straights

Too slow to catch Erik, too quick to be beaten by Anatasis & Maxi, so I spent just about all the race on my own

Honestly didn't mind though, I was just in zen mode, driving around while chilling in my fantasy world ;)

we're just tooo slow :sly: Felt sleepy since 10 lap, my fingers started to hurt after 30 lap. Trying to blink my eyes as much as I could, also took a small nap at the pits waiting for the fuel  Last 15 laps my eyes were seeing a red pixel, a grey line below it and green things left and right. Still managed less than 2 mins difference of falcon:)

good race, some nice battles.. unfortunately for 1st corner lap 1 on arno i hit him don tknow if someone bumped me or not.. but anyway great race. didnt really count this race to be really important for final result.. i got 3rd, but wanted to have a litle laugh & shortcutted the chicane before S/F to get immortals 2nd place :D but good laugh very nice races with immortal in the beginning & then falcon joined us wich was really really good..

pited 3 times, but still ran out of fuel in the end fueled 13-15 & 25 only if i had fueled more than 13 i would of get 1st but seems to be i got to work on my calculation..

anyway 3d3 is coming up & def the team is going to do well!

Dissapointed race again. the last 5 races or something went just terrible for some reason.

Made a good star. Arno made a donut after the first hairpin, it was just a matter to save your self there. It made 4th or something. then i had to defend against Erik, falcon & ark. It went not so easy becaus Arkano and falcon were very lagy, when i looked behind they were jumping around. After that things whent well. Pacing behind the pack i could follow. after Arkano made mistake i was 5th. But then came the pitstops, i just forgot to take the pit, and i crashed on the top of au rouge. I tryed to move out the way as fast as i could for upcomming cars. but i missjudged there speed.
anyway i list a lot of time. I try to get anastasis back. i slightly started to closed a big gap but at the end it was not enough, and i got lapped. so i came in for a extra pitstop at the end to put on new softs to try to beat the fastest lap, whit low fuel and max braking. but it had some traffic.

Nap at pit?, you were texting something?

What I see in my replay is strange, but I see Arno change lane very fast in front of ProPersian so he hits ProPersian. Yes Arno is in front of ProPersian and should be able to select his driving line through the corner. But when defending his position like he did it is pretty impossible to avoid accident. And the bump ProPersian gave was so gentle it is a wonder he spun. He was really unlucky, but I really didn't see anyone doing something bad here. He did become a punching ball, but why he had to change lane into ProPersian is beyond me.

And then leave because he did a mistake and blame us. I'm sorry, but what did I miss? Are we supposed to drive extra careful around him when he are just as clumsy?
I did get a message while I raced of course, that he understood GP!!!!!
All I understand from this is that someone should get out of their perfect little world in the kindergarten and grow into the world the rest of us is living in.

I do hope its the last race I experienced that someone left in anger. We probably have a lot to learn about racing 100% clean, but there should be a fight for position. That is racing. Listen to Senna.. If we stop going for a gap that is there we are no longer race drivers. So sometimes **** happens. We just have to live with it.

I'm sorry, but now it had to come out or I would have exploded!

To avoid collisions at starts its important to keep te same "line" as much as possible. If you are gonna waving around to pass slower cars infront you, collisions are unavoidable. When you start the race you can dicide were you place your car. Left, right or on the middle, from there on stay on your line. before turn 1, if you are on the outside don't dive fully towards the inside. At the exit of turn 1, if you are on the inside don't let you car slide al the way to the outside. Offcourse its not against the rules to change your line to overtake at the start like arno in a way did, but keep in mind if you make a move there are always some risks for collisions. So keep driving and hold your line as much as possible, It will prevent alot of contact, offcourse sometimes collisions do happen and can't be avoided. So yes s**t does indeed happen.

Atleast thats the way i see it, I did my part of "starting" mistakes. simply becaus i changed my line frequently. that happens becaus i usually start faster then the cars around me, and then i want to take as much cars as possible. which means i have to change lines to overtake. and it usual ends bad.

Also when something bad happens somewhere in the race. don't quit the race. Its not cool for other drivers, they are spending there time whit houres of practice to do a fun & clean race. so keep driving your race. After the race you can discuss it like grown-up people and stewards will look into it. Also when keep on racing, you can save the replay and judge/watch it when you are more rational. In the heat of the moment things can look very diffrent and everyone has his own point of view. For example at laguna Seca i got a bump from Kyaw on the inside of corner 1. I was mad about it and at the moment itself it felt like a big mistake from Kyaw. But afterwards i had to admit it was only a small racing incident.

heey Erik...

i was disappointed after corner one, had a good quali and start, laying behind immortal, i was going into corner one, bumped in corner one by propersion i think...big clash folowed, car totaly broke...the message wasn't pointed to you...
just getting tired of guys who think you can win the race in turn one, it happend also at nurnberg...

strange you say that kind of things about me at the forum, after you given me some compliments in personal message ps3...

i like to race, we all do, but at the normal way...

We understand your frustration....but IMO its a racing incident. nobody to blame.

I have nothing personally against you and you have raced very clean and very sportsmans like but tobad you didn't race to the finish so you could take a look at the replay. Because you left the door open into turn one, ProPersian went for the gap you created and you then slammed the door. Not a good racing judgement by you and when you then leave because you claimed someone hit you and after looking at the start and turn 1 7-9 times from all the angles there is, also from bumper view on all cars around you I cant really blame anyone for it.
Just the way you left the room made me a bit pissed off. We know we wont win in the first corner, but its all about creating a good position for our self. And no one really went into turn 1 to destroy the race for someone.
When professional drivers can make incidents do you really expect us to be 100% incident free? as the normal way?

i know how to race and ofcourse i do not expect a 100% incident free race, that race doesn't excist...but pointing your car in every(small)gap there is and overtake with bumping is not the way it supposed to be!
at that point i was braking very late and really never expected that someone could brake later than that....but that was my feel at that moment...
sometimes is patience a good solution for the first corner...

next time better i hope...

maybe you could show the start in this forum :)

good night

I understand you still talk about how things felt for you, but the fact that you drove into ProPersian made ProPersian brake a bit to late because he didn't see you planned to throw your car into his line. This was to late to close the gap you created. And by the look of it, it was no small gap, it was a giant gap and still it doesn't look like ProPersian is going for a overtake. It looks like he is using the gap as a racing line to take the corner. Until you try to go on the inside of IMMORTALPILOT and bumping IMMORTALPILOT this cause your car to stop faster than any car can brake. A small bump by ProPersian and you spin into the line of Falcon causing his 2nd position grid position to become last one in the line. (he won by the way) So I still don't see anyone but you doing something not clean. And I do not say this to be an ass. I say this because I saw this from more angles than your race view.

I totally agree. But it goes for everyone I guess?
next time better i hope...

good night

I really hope next time is going to be better, because this one become messy for a lot of people out of one single stupid move.

I have no system to record a GT5 replay into a movie, but I can upload the entire replay tomorrow.

Good night to you too

I haven't read all the posts but I get the idea as to what happened .

All I have to say is racing incidents do happen and sometimes the better driver or the stronger driver does get the short end of the stick , its just racing but you shouldn't quit because there are still points out there to be won .

I think next season intentional quitters should receive a penalty , well they are penalizing themselves because they aren't receiving any points .

I guess it only happened because it was the final race of the season . Spa seems to have a lot of crashes because of the drafting .

See you all in your pre-season and the 3d3 race .
