....I'm now getting network incompatibility with the room owner. For the first time since GT5 released in November, considering I was literally just in the room just fine, this is weird.
 
Sorry Arkano, looks like I can't race, internet is pretty crappy right now and if I raced I would probably uber-lag the whole room out. Have a good race guys 👍

Today didn't go well for me.:( I got into 3rd place on lap 1 or 2 and stayed there for the first couple of laps then on lap 4 my tyres had already started to go ooff on me and I went wide at turns 1 and 2 losing me about 5 seconds and from then on Netherdragon was right on my bumper until laps 5 or 6 and I went wide at turns 1 and 2 yet again. I pit on lap 9 and then I and went about 5 laps or so before my tyres went again and I was spinning all over the place and I ended up spinning into pits backwards but the AI didn't pit, he just did a drive through...:dopey: The following lap I pit for hard tyres which were like driving on ice. Then I hear my mum shouting for me to come and help her change her bedding so I stopped in the pits, changed the bedding and then the phone rings and I got disconnected from the PSN.:banghead:(I think the filters need replacing)

Can someone send me the replay please?

3rd place feels like a complete victory. I always love racing Suzuka, but the results have never come to me. I was sure I was going to finish 3rd, I had no idea GP & Immortal hadn't pitted for hards :o

My last 7-lap stint on the softs was just consistent 54's and 55's, one of the best stints I've probably ever done. Congrats to Falcon for a dominant win (even though I did take the lead like 3 times during that race :sly:) and well done to Erik for a well deserved 2nd place! You were quiet all race :p

Unlucky for Netherdragon though, we were set to have quite the epic battle at the end there, but your two spins stopped that :(

Sorry about the connection shenanigans before the race too, at least we only started 15 minutes later than we should have.

Thanks to our two new guys too! :) I hope we'll see you at the next races too.

In the meantime, onwards to Le Sarthe! I'll definitely be practising Le Sarthe this week, I need to redeem myself for my Monza performance and my numerous small mistakes today.
 
Yet again i managed to do 2 stints on hards. thats already 4 stints on 2 races.

I started ok, i was in the pack holding everyone up then i made a mistake, it could be bad but i was lucky to keep my nose in the right direction, everyone behind me crashed i think, sorry guys.

-after i span i was side by side whit a blue GTR (after) the bridge. he probably didn't know i was next to him when he moved to the left, pushing me into the grass. I was falling down to the last place. (lost atleast 10 seconds)

- I managed to close the gap. i did overtake Erik, i was slightly faster then anastasia. Propersia seemed to be faster but mad a lot of mistakes. Zzxxz and joey did look to fast. But Joey did tap me at the chicane lost (lost 10 seconds) he waited though

- Then i was lapping Joey but was holding me up and started to wave in front of me (5 seconds lost)

- Then ProPersia was very aggresive in overtaking he almost killed me 3 times and almost pushed anastia 2 times. (i lost atleast 5 seconds + i let him passed me 3 tmes for free becaus i was afraid he should hit me)

- nevertheless i was in a very good 7th position when i started my second hard stint it went decent. but on the last part of my stint it did go wrong i made a mistake and driving slow into the corner. i felt a bump (from zzxxz or persia) it was not hard but on my bad tyres it was enough to crash the car. lost alot of time, on top of that Immortal hit my car, he could't avoid my car. (in total i think i lost 1:00 + 1:00 for driving on hard twice)

- then i was again fighting whit propersia, this time i hitted him slightly (lets call it even)

- On the end i was driving fast towards zzxxz, i could grap him but instead i made 4 big mistakes (frustrated) i lost a other 40+ seconds.

whitout this i had easly 7th place. maybe more.

Sorry Max that was me who forced you off but as you said, I had no idea you were there, after you went spinning I thought I was in front but it turns out you were next to me. You got your own back after you went off at spoon and I had to drive around you into the gravel

its ok, i understand. it only ruined everthing. it was a domino effect for my whole race. whit alle those problems in traffic.


oh anastasis i had a good fight whit you in the whole race... and you were the only one wo seemed to drive clean at the back. respect :)

I'm kinda glad i'm going to miss Le Sarthe. Night driving + no racing line + my averageness at the track makes me dislike it quite a bit.

Nurburgring Nordschleife should be fun without the racing line at night. :D

First of all I spent the entire week to try adjust the car, then a tactic that was perfect for the setup of the car and a lot of time behind the wheel :)

And a bit of luck 👍

Was pretty hard to start on hard tyres and see everyone go, but it payed off :)

lol, yeah you were slow at the beginning. i was on hard also. becaus i was much faster then you i thought i was on soft. then i saw my best lap time 1:58. i was very sure i had softs. in practise i only did 2:00 on hards. i thought i was on soft becaus of it. so i did a second stint on hards. if i didn't made that mistake i could have avoided alot of accidents. at the time i was a half lap ahead of zzxxz & co. grave mistake:ouch:

next race i drive with fanatec gt3 i hope iam faster with it.
 
I ended up on 9th place, waz my first time in such races online, think i made ALOT of uneccesary spins because of pushing it to the limit.. I got hit in the second corner right after the race started wich got me from 3rd to 9th, tried mKing up for it but was crazy agrresive..
Had a great tune for the car but could still be better..

At Monza i set up the tyres on hard before in the lounge. when i pitted the option window pop up, my first tyre-choice was on "Racing Soft". I expected "Racing Hard" since i had them on, it normally does, but it didn't. so i wasn't sure anymore.


At Suzuka i changed to hard in qually, the pits. But now on my first pitstop the first tyre choice was "Racing Hard" like it used to be. Becaus its the opposit choice compared whit Monza, i again started to wonder what tyres i had used in my first stint, and considering i did drive 2 seconds faster compared whit practise, could follow the pace of most drivers and i did 14 laps whit the tyre, in practise only 6 whit decent times i was convinced i was on soft.


The replay showed me otherwise on both occasions i was on hard. so next time i know when i am put hards on in the pitlane/qually or in the lounge i will start on this tyre. I don't understand why you had medium then? maybe by accident?

if you enter the track in qualify with soft and change to hard during the qualify the car will have medium tyres when the race start (at least if you have those tyres) The replay will show hard, but I promise you I cannot do a 1.54 around NurburgringGP/F on hard but I have a replay here that prove otherwise.. it's just a bug in the game.

I also did a 1:27 something on indy road with so called hard tyres.. also impossible for me.

Arkano also experinced this on Rome in the pre-season so it was decided that if you are going to start on hard, you should also qualify on hard.

I do remember a comment by you actually... Couldn't you feel you were on hard?? no I could not.. because I actually was on medium.. strange bug.

oh yeah i remember: but i didn't understand the whole story back then.

its weird, you think i was on mediums then? now you say it like that i am starting to wonder if i really was on medium. i was 2-3 seconds slower compared whit my soft practise times and 2 seconds faster whit hard practise. It could be. :sick:


Maybe change the tyre rule (untill the bug is fixed) in: "you may not start the race on hards" or something." To avoid cheating...?

I think I'm probably going to start on softs just to be 100% that I don't start on mediums or whatever, and it makes the start interesting :)
 
you have to make it mandatory to start whit soft. It indeed makes te start more intresting + how do you police the rule if you let it be like it is now. Its just a matter of time before someone else does it by mistake or use it as a advantage? well it just my opinion.

Allright guys, here is my story...
Starting on the 8th place, i was like wow i wasnt last in the qualifiers...
but then in the race i saw erik was on hards like maxi...
In the first 10 laps i was doing great for me , was in the 8th place i think to 7th.
In the 11th lap, my mother comes in to my room and asks me why is this shining like that(router), turned my head to see it, and lost immediately 15 sec in the sand before the bridge/tunnel...
lost 3 places as the competitors were close to me and fell back to last places(didn't remember if joey had disconnected till then.
My first stop done after completing the 13th lap with soft tyes on!
Maxitsu entered one lap earlier as i saw.

There was nothing special until the 24th lap, where HDMI started to "disconnect" itself, and it needed to reconnect it.
I press Start in my controller so the car was running at 50kmh.
Sorry to those that i make them go slower :)
The lap time them was like 2:15 so i lost another 20 seconds :(

Pitted again at the end of the 26th lap , which seemed i was clearly going for a perfect 3-stop race. Some times I was at 7th place and had a great race with not many mistakes. I was running completely alone in the track with at least 20 seconds difference from the front or from the back.

Everything was going great and i pitted at the end of the 37th lap to do my 8-lap race with the hards until... Entering the pits, there is this window with the fuel and tyre selection... I see the fuel, i had 13 litres in my tank and didn't feel it was enough so i kept changing the fuel values, and i didn't even see the tires I had on... I noticed that exactly after i pressed the ok button to perform the pit stop and i was crying (not literally lol).That time, I just pressed the start button... I don't know why, just wishing the time to turn back for 5 seconds. 25 seconds later i saw that the fuel guy was still in the car, then i pressed again the start button and realized how silly i am...

With a time of around 2:50 I enter the pit stop at the next lap just to change to hard tyres...So i finally made 7 laps with the hard tyres...
3 laps before the end I let Propersian to overtake me since he was on softs and was going much faster than.

That's my loser story, and i ended up in my physical place, the last one lol.
