A question, will these cars be always available in arcade mode?
 
I take it no-one has any more ideas on what cars to have for the El Capitan?

No-one knows whether the forthcoming race will have cars that are totally stock, or just tuned?

Not to be impatient, just wondering at the lack of ideas for the moment...:)

I would like to run either the GT40 (normal type) or a dodge viper. They both need to be driven to keep on the track. Though the "motorsports elise" would be my next choice.
 
Just giving this a lil' bump, as it seems to have been forgotten...and its looking rather lonely.

I believe that everyone is waiting from the person himself, Mulsanne?

I've not actually played GT for afair amount of time, as i've sorta been...enjoying myself over the Christmas and New Years! As always.;)

Looks like no-one **really** wants to do this, as the last one was at 16th December...which is...lets see:

Id use a vauxhall/holden monaro/commodore ss/GTO 5.7/all the same car anyway.

They handle very well around bumpy trax like the Cap.

Its gone quiet in here though, hasn't it?

I wonder where the straight man is?

Vauxhall cars sounds pretty odd and good to use, i'll say!

Hmm...i think i will go for that selection, as i was sorta thinking that all the other choices that other people has stated were a bit predictable. But your statement on

"Vauxhall etc.....cars handle well around the bumpy trax"

won it for me. If we wanted all the people to participate in this first race, better use something that can actually handle the bumps! The lotii's (?) would skip/jump/bumps/cartwheel (ok, not the last one) so much it would become so much of a challenge that people would....crash and quit. :(

Also, Vauxhall etc are not the usual cars you use for racing....i'm sold.

Mulsanne....where are you?
 
any car.. lets just sort it out soon because i wanna race!!
 
I'm cool with any car too really. A challenge would be nice though.

Maybe Mulsanne should make a poll with 5 or so differant cars that we can vote on. 💡 (I know it's been mentioned before, just re-igniting the idea.)

I haven’t read through the majority of this thread, but I would be very interested in competing. This seems like a championship that wouldn’t be very stressful and would be alot of fun! :D

Great, everyone wants to start, yet we lost our host. :boggled: Anyone hear from him or anything, send him any more PM's or what-not. I think the out-side world has gotten him. Poor Mulsanne. :eek:

Since Mulsanne has been gone for 3 weeks, is someone else interested in announcing a car to use at Grand Valley (race 1)? I'm just waiting for the signal.
 
Well, do we want a car that's gonna have a hard time winning or the fastest thing we can get? And who's gonna be Race Steward? And more importantly where the heck is Mulsanne? And while I'm at it, what's the meaning of life?

Could be this: We live, we die and that's that.

I think Mulsanne wanted something that would be interesting to drive against the AI racers, so something that would be slower, but more agile compared to the AI racers.

By Race Steward, you mean someone to travel all over the world, checking that every single person is racing cleanly and properly? A bit far-fetched?

Or do you mean someone else to check on reply submittions?

I thought we were going to do El Capitain?

im pretty sure it was El Captian, and im certian we wanted a race so that we had to fight all the way to the end with the AI

I can't, cos i've got no experience of this, and plus i know i will muck it up somewhere/somehow.

Mulsanne certainly has a forced leave for a long while....

That may be true. But one would have thought that at least he would have mentioned that IF he knew he wasn't going to have any internet in the future. Then we could have done something about it.

As such, we don't know what's happening. He could be hiding somewhere in the forum....?

It's just that all of us who has expressed an interest would probably like to race it, to see who has the better ability in Endurance Racing, or the chance to learn off the greats. I know i would like to do that.
 
Ok, this seems a bit silly....It's nearly Feburary (can never get that month spelt correctly) and we haven't yet had a race at El Captian.

I'm sorta thinking that i will *launch* the race, but i have to sort out the cars first. However, it will have to wait till Monday, as i am at my parent's, where there isn't a PS2 OR GT4 anywhere. On Monday, i'll try and post up five cars for you all to decide, if anyone else is still interested in this.

Is everyone is ok with this?

BTW, if Mulsanne is browsing this, is this ok for me to do?

i will take into account all the car selections that everyone has made in the past month-and-a-bit and do a bit of testing.

Perhaps he has, i'm not racing in this (im not sadistical) but dosn't it see ma little strange he's disappeared before the biggest (lengthwise) championship this forums has ever seen?
