Interest check:Renault clio cup

A championship for only Renault clio's. Any type of Renault clio is allowed and they can be tuned within the regulations of 305 or 315 hp max.

Would anyone be interested in something like this in the near future?

I would be happy for you to organise it because I have got exams coming up in May and June and I'm already organising one other series. However I would at least like to have a major say in how things are run, car classes, circuits etc.

Unfortunately I have not been to BTCC in real life but from ITV coverage most races are around half an hour so if we could do the same in this championship.

All clio's would be allowed but there would be class types e.g.
Clio cup cars
Clio renault sport
Normal clio's (I think these are in the game)

All cars would have to fit within the regulations so tuning up or down would be required to make a more even playing field.

Got kart championship going at that time but if it's ok for most people at that time so just carry on with that.

Not yet, Camikaze seems to have taken complete control over the series and ignoring the message I sent a while ago so you'll have to wait for him for updates.

Sorry about the delay. I'm waiting for feedback from others as to the question I posted earlier regarding when would be a good time to race. Looks like a consensus may be forming from what I've read. I'm wondering if you want the races to happen every week or every 2 weeks.

Also, I spotted a Renault Clio Sport Trophy Race Car in the Online Dealership in GT Mode. All those interested taking part should have a car like it in their Garages.

As for a practice race, how about we do some next Friday at say maybe 8:00 pm GMT? If you like, I can host it.

For the series, do you think we can put in a Performance Points limit? After taking the car to GT Auto for an overhaul including a Oil Change, I have 308 HP in my car and a PP score of 487. I was thinking of having the power in our cars match that of the real-life Clio Cup series at 205 HP and this'll make the PP Limit set at 440 unless breaking in the car makes the HP (and most likely the PP) go up.

205 seems too low for a clio cup car, you're practically limiting the clio 100hp and I think this will make driving them easier. However a PP limit could work as it could mean a trade off between what you want and this could change tactics for different drivers.

I'll be posting details on what the season will be like in a seperate thread, but at this point it'll be a 10 round schedule with the race meetings happening every other week. I'm thinking of having the races on either Friday night or Saturday night GMT as well as have 2 rounds be 100 km Enduros. The rest of the schedule will be 2 races of 40 kms each.

As for another practice session, same time next week?

Races on fridays would be best but earlier in the day like at 6pm GMT or so?
Can we allow racing softs again. I made a mistake on the tires I was talking about. Softs are easier on low grip reduction but on high it is harder
