just wondering if there was any reason why some exterior paint chips will leave the interior unchanged and others will change colors?

i bought a Lotus Evora with a black interior, painted it some kind of purple which ended up changing the interior to an ugly red, now when i repaint the exterior the interior i don't want is still there :grumpy: frustrating

Yeah, a couple of Premiums do that, like the Alfa Competizione and the Zonda R. And it's quite annoying that they change through that method.

I don't think it would because all closed top standard cars have blacked out interiors.

Also the Fiat 500 SS (Premium) does this too.

You're right, I had no idea why I thought they did... then I remembered my mate's old yellow VW and its interior. That's where I got the thought from :dunce:

You can still see the interior colors thru the windows on the standard cars, right? Looking in from the outside?

Nope, just blacked out outlines of interior features such as the wheel, seats, dashboard etc.

Although I'm sure that your driver will still be fully visible.

Several Premium cars does this, and when they do, they often change to red. However, they can only change interior colours once - except those that get the same interior colours as the car body - like the Premium Zonda.

I've had issues with this for my Ford Focus ST, where I can't seem to paint the car red without changing the interior to orange, which always looks annoying. I would buy it in black to get the red interior, but it always changed to orange. I've given up on it.

Yeah - there is nothing you can do about it.
