It has the best interior of any car in GT5 in my opinion. As far is i can find it is the only race car that tells you the lap time an the bottom right of the main dash. There is a second dash right over the left hand of the driver, on the top i don't know what that number means. The number changes as you drive, if you know PLEASE tell me what it means.

Agree, also a great interior view, thanks to the big windshield but the modell is a bit low poly and low texture, don't you think?

I guess it has got one, if not the best engine sound ingame?
It's also a great performer, almost on par with the 908, sometimes even better and looks, thanks to the aggressive aprouch towards aerodynamics really badass.

Yes I do, The wheel and the very top of the dash look like it doesn't belong there
What is great about the car though is the seating position, Some race cars the seating position is just too low to the ground in order to use the car correctly. In the 787b its just great the way it is.

a nice and comfortable car to race 24h. too bad it was so loud(in real life) that one of the drivers got a permanent ear illness/malfunction whatever.

I was driving the 787 stealth for weeks before I got my 908. It was like a shock when I saw the poor Interior view.

Sound=Best sounding car in the game IMO
Looks=Stunning IMO
Interior= Probably the most interesting interiors, and definitely not as scary as the GT by citroen interior
Speed=Very fast but nothing special

Plus it's a Mazda so, it rocks, obviously.

I spent an hour driving this car last night in La Sarthe last night in partice mode and i think it's the second most bad ass car in the game, next to the McLaren F1 GTR.

The interior compared to other LM's is superior but personally i like the low seating positions, may be hard to believe but they really sit that low in the car as it helps the balance of the vehicle....I LOVE the IDLE of the 787's motor though!!

I can tell you that the 787B isn´t the only car that displays lap times in its dash/steering wheel. Some of the Super GT cars (Denso Dunlop Sard Lexus and Yellow Hat Supra, I guess the rest of the Lexus´ as well) also have this info.
Regarding the other number, which if I remember correctly varies between 13.2 and 13.7, I have no clue about what it represents. I´d like to know it too :)

I just drove mine around Daytona and it went anywhere from 0 to 72 or so. The thing is, it's so random.

The YellowHat Supra shows you your previous lap time on the steering wheel as well. The great thing about that car is that it shows you how much fuel you have left as well, so you can turn off HUD and just drive during the Suzuka 1000km. :D

But yeah, the 787b looks great too.

Hello Senor,
Oh, its seductive engine noise. You can feel it unleashes a great amount of torque through starting its engine.

It looks great, it sounds great, it handles great, and damn it accelerates great.
One of my favourite cars in the game, time to give it a 6th gear :)

One of my favorite cars in game, best startup sound, great handling and is really nice overall:tup:

Some other cars like the Audi R10 do have a lap timer though.

OMG the interior of the GT by Citroen has to be the most awful thing I have ever seen! How can anyone with a TV under 70" see ANYTHING!?

I get claustrophobic (:dopey:) just looking at it :lol:
I haven't heard the start up yet for some strange reason, but I can't wait! ;)

I'm not sure as I just noticed this number yesterday on a JGTC nsx, but if I had to guess, I'd say an air/fuel ratio gauge. Might be nice to know for drivers who think they have an engine problem, or need to lean the mixture to make the fuel last to the end? Just a guess.

For those of you who enjoy the idle of the 787B, I'd recommend checking out the RE-Amemiya GT300 RX-7 as well. Fun car, and I could listen to that idle for an hour.

Back in time when designing that car, I think Mazda could have built one with a 6-speed gearbox, but considering the motor characteristics and its limitless amount of torque, they just decided that 5 gears are enough. There are a few other examples in GT5, which have 5-speed transmission, too. Out of the same reason..
