Internet browser auto refreshes

Is anyone experiencing their internet browser auto refreshing when in the forum threads? Periodically the browser will refresh and bring me all the way back to the top of the thread. I’m on iOS using Safari.

I'm using Chrome. I've been having an issue for the past few weeks--as I'm typing in a forum-thread entry box (like this one), the cursor disappears, and I'm suddenly out of the entry box. So I could be rapidly typing a paragraph, and suddenly my keystrokes aren't being registered. It seems to happen on pages with several inserted ads, and when the page updates (ads, other things?) and I see the activity reported in the lower left corner of the browser window.

It can happen so often, it can be frustrating just to finish one sentence. It requires grabbing the mouse and clicking in the box to get a cursor-entry bar again to continue typing.

I've tested this on a couple of Windows PCs--same issue on all of them.

To clarify, you're not experiencing an "auto refresh" of the entire page as reported in the OP of this thread, you're just losing the cursor while typing in the reply box?

It could be ad related, but that would be a new one for me — I've never seen or heard of ads causing something like that before.

Did it happen for you while you were writing this post? If you disable the fancy editor (click on the "Toggle BB Code" button that looks like "[]" in the top right corner of the editor) does it still happen regularly?

It doesn't happen on this page. I don't see any ads inserted between the posts.

It does happen when typing a post on a thread like Assetto Corsa PC Mods General Discussion. When a page is almost full, it can have about eight ads on it.

It only "jumps out" of an entry box when browser activity is reported in the lower left corner.

Ok, that's good to know.

Are you using a lot of different browser plugins? I ask because if you sign into your Chrome profile on multiple machines, it will carry over your plugins and settings between PCs. One of the plugins may be interacting with one of the ads or page updates in a way that causes the text field to lose focus. Chrome/Windows is our most popular desktop browser/OS combination and this is the only report of an issue like this that I've received.
