Well, after the last time I hosted a race & SEVENTEEN drivers signed up but only FOUR submitted a time I SWORE I'd never do it again! :irked:

BUT...I've discovered an "Oddity" in GT4 I'd like to share & it seems we're a bit overdue for something involving the Rallye Rides. I've also got some "Format" ideas that are new. Since I'm NOT too thrilled with the "New" PD "Dirt Physics" :trouble: it'll be an all "Tarmac" event.

It will most likely take me about a month to finalize everything but it WILL BE "Short & Sweet" using ARCADE Rides with Very Simple Rules. A "Replay Device" will most likely be required. "PM" me or respond here if you're interested..."IF" there's enough response I'll get to work on it! 👍 ...O.G. :D

SUPER! 👍 Enough "Sign-Ups" to warrant some serious research!

Sounds good to me :) I've barely driven any of the rally cars, aside from a few special condition events. I hope we can get some Ciatta Di Aria and Costa Di Amalfi action :D

I don't have a replay device but if one was not needed I would be interested. Every race needs somebody to come last :)

Hell yeah I'm interested. If it takes about a month to get everything set up, I should have a replay device by then.

On a side note, if we run on Citta Di Aria, it's going to be hell for me to get a clean lap.

Looks like an OUTSTANDING Group forming up already. :) I've spent the morning collecting data on 26 prospective "Rides"...MUCH more work to do however! :trouble: ...O.G. :D
 
Any preliminary thoughts on tracks yet? The only thing I'd like to see is a few GT Mode races, it would be fun to see how the rally cars react to settings. Some of you may remember Ron's ARC races on tarmac, they were good fun to set up 👍.

OK...Lots of progress being made on our "Unusual" Format! :lol: BUT...I only have a couple of tracks in mind. Which Venues would you guys like to see? I'm open to suggestions...O.G. :D
 
IMHO...You definitely would have to include the Nurburgring..if that's there, I personally don't care about what other track(s) are used.

Well since you're asking. :D The bumpy and winding road at El Capitan seems perfect for rallying in my humble opinion. 👍
 
Sorry SimRaceDriver :guilty: When you see the final format you'll understand why the "Ring is out of the question. (Too Long)

@ NielsG: El Capitan "Reverse" perhaps! :scared: Rallye Rides w/limited DownForce "Yumping" over the "Hump"??? Sounds like FUN! 👍 ...O.G. :D
 
I've always been a fan of Midfield reverse and Grand Valley East reverse

I originally planned for only THREE Races, two of which would use the "Oddity" I discovered...BUT with the Super Tracks recommended, should we run more races??? I'll leave it up to you guys! 👍 ...O.G. :D
 
5 races sounds like a good number to me. Any chance of a team setup?
 
5 sounds good to me as well - I personally hate the citti da aria (SP?) that narrow thing what reminds me of Cote D' Azur - I'm all the time smacking into walls there :yuck: but I'll race it if I have to.

I'm a big fan of Laguna myself and it would be cool in rally cars IMHO, El Capitan is a blast in any car, I'm not a fan of any of the Sazuka/Tsukuba/Motegi/Fuji variations (I'm just insulted by the over-japanese aspect to the game and not having enough of other countries tracks/variants) Infineon would be fun but as a WRS racer, I'm frustrated with that one at the moment ;) - any of the original tracks, Deep Forest backwards - eh, that's enough suggestions for now, OG's got plenty to deal with I'm sure ;)

I would like that too. Always add some good things to a series. 👍 That's off course only, if it doesn't clash whit the "Unusual" Format.
