Being aware of new mods, help at times with the process of downloading mods or skins, general chat about sim racing, new games coming up, have some questions that I spent quite a bit of time looking for answers, and still searching for some.

Hi Everyone,

Posting as a new member but been racing on Gt7 and various Gt games over the years.
Rig and Vr player, I run a GT Omega lite cockpit, G923 wheel with 3d Rap pedal upgrade, Psvr2 and use Race Engineer to make up for lost information as I use as few hud displays as possible.
Ideally looking for leagues or people looking for clean but competitive racing, sick of getting punted off in the Dailies.

I was looking for a place where Assetto Corsa tracks can be found - I clicked the link to GTPlanet and I liked what I found
I am from Germany - an old retired engineer
I started with racing games with NASCAR2003
I use a DD-wheel (9Nm), load cell pedals, Shifter and a 5k curved monitor 49"
I only play AC and gave up on RBR DR2 AMS2
I made some tracks (Bruschied, Hahn Airport, Marshlands) and cars that I like to share and I am curious what´s out there

Hi everyone, middle aged man here, in my 50’s, been playing racing games since mid 90’s. My son, my best mate and I have been doing 24 hour races for the last 4 years against AI but would really like to do a 24hr race against fellow humans. Is anybody interested? We do a three man team, each doing a 2 hour stint over 24 hours. August bank holiday (next weekend) is our next race. Would love for anybody join us.

Found this community while googling some help for WTC600 on GT7, and I stumbled onto praiano's settings few days ago...
I used to play GT4 on my PS2 (my very first racing game!), went through GT5 and now I'm on GT7 :D (with a little period on NFS Carbon)

Never used a steering wheel, shame on me I am so dumb with it and I'm more dumb in using manual shift, so I go with Automatic insert here septa unella's walk of shame

I love playing games based on choices/anything involving potentially messy timelines/butterfly effect, and I'm a HUGE an of Assassin's Creed and Death Stranding saga :D

Aaaanddd... I'm sincerely looking forward to learn how to setup properly my cars.

Well, I'm glad you found us by doing research. I like racing games and platformer games like Sonic, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, LittleBigPlanet, etc. I hope you have fun here and enjoy the site. Jordan created it in 2001.

Well rn I’m playing Croc remastered alongside GT7 and sometimes I steal my daughter’s switch to play Kao the kangaroo (sooo lovely)

I live in Rock Hill SC just south of Charlotte NC. In the late 1960s I raced a SCCA F production sprite With fair success. I'm 80 now and in July 2025 my wife thought I Needed something to enjoy as a past time so she bought me Gran Turismo 7, Playstation 5, Logitech G923 and a comfortable race seat. What great entertainment and challenge for my old age! It has sharpened my mind and physical well being. I've made it through all the licenses to S10 and have made it to menu book 14. I hope that there are others in the community that would like to see Chimney Rock Hill climb as a track in GT and can help get it there. I'd love to Drive that track again even if it is in the virtual world. Up to now I've never been attracted to or played video games. I would have not played the games with a handheld controller the Logitech Setup will keep me engaged.

Hello I found the forum through internet
 
Hello and thanks for having me.

I am new to the forum, but I have been playing racing games since the NES. (R/C Pro Am was the first game I owned.)

I'm from the US and was invited here by a co-worker. I currently use an all Thrustmaster wheel setup I've ran for a few years now. It is a GT300RS with load cell pedals, TH8 shifter, and a handbrake.

I used to play RPGs, fighting games, and some FPS (Splatoon was a favorite), but now I only play other games with my kids.

The reason I am here is to increase my skill level. I have been practicing every day for the past year and have improved noticeably. I don't know how far I am going to take it, but I may document the process by getting into streaming.

I also like messing around with liveries, if I don't feel like pushing myself any further as a driver then I might just start making those instead, lol.

Although I really enjoy the world of rally, Grand Prix motorcycles, raids, and much more, I didn't get seriously into simracing until a few years ago, specifically 2021-22.
I discovered the forum while looking for technical information on repairing simracing bases and I liked what I found. I really like the technical sections on common problems that fans of this world often encounter.
For this reason, I want to contribute my part to this world, both technically and in terms of enjoying the games we usually use.

WanderingGJO here, from Western Europe.
I've been visiting GTP every now and then when I was looking for info (I'm an incredible data nerd). I'll be looking to find more like-minded people to join our racing league and share some of the stuff I've been working on, so I figured it's high time I make an account.

My first racing experience was the Gran Turismo 1 demo, I loved it so much! My first full Gran Turismo game was GT3, which my father gifted to me after we played it together in a local toy store.

I play on a Thrustmaster T128 which I've since upgraded with TLCM pedals and a shifter. Unfortunately I have an injury that's kept me on controller for a while, but I'm looking forward to being back on wheel (and embracing my much, much slower pace on it).

I play a wide variety of games, just FPS and horror are not for me. My comfort games are retro RPGs like Final Fantasy 7/8/10 and Stardew Valley.

I'm looking forward to finding more information, discussing ideas and making more friends to race with. And I'm looking forward to sharing what I do: making faithful recreations of real-life race cars and cars from the older GT games in GT7 by tuning them. They're not optimised builds - they're meant to be genuine driving experiences.
Will take a while until my little museum is ready for launch, but I'm very excited to share that down the line.
