Hi, welcome to GTplanet!Hi everyone,
I’m happy to join GTPlanet – I’ve come across the site a few times while searching for tips around the GT7 livery editor and sim racing setups, and I finally decided to sign up and be part of the community.
I’m from Germany and have been into racing games since the early days – I still have great memories of playing classics in the late '80s and early '90s. These days I mostly drive in Gran Turismo 7, and yes, I play with a wheel setup: currently using a Fanatec DD Extreme with ClubSport Pedals V3 and a Formula Red Bull Racing wheel. I also enjoy Assetto Corsa Competizione and occasionally dive into retro arcade-style racers just for the nostalgia.
Besides racing games, I’m also into tech, creative projects (like designing liveries), and exploring how to bring real-world data and tools into my racing experiences.
I’m most looking forward to sharing ideas around livery design, improving my lap times, and maybe joining some organized racing or creative challenges in the GTPlanet community.
Looking forward to chatting and driving with you all!
Hi, my name is Danilo, 30 years old from Vanuatu. I was researching about Maintenance Management for Heavy Duties and Utility Vehicles which led me to come across gtplanet. I have no idea what it was but decided to take a look and discovered that it's a whole world by itself. Its interesting. I started playing racing games in 2013 and it was just the "Need for Speed Most Wanted" game using just the laptop buttons. I continued to playing until 2015 and suddenly the game just wouldn't run anymore. Then I continued playing "Need for Speed Underground" from 2021 until today the 11th of May 2025 using just the keyboard buttons. I always loved racing even though I am trying to graduate with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering this last quarter 2025. I learned that racing is not only about the literal mechanisms, systems and processes working in unison in the vehicle but its about the driver becoming the vehicle he is driving. If the driver becomes the driven, then he will remember, analyze, calculate and predict possible timings over the racing track to avoid accidents or paths that frictions the speed down. We need a speed path that consistently keeps the vehicle moving ahead of its racing opponents with momentum safely into victory. I also enjoyed Chess cause its my favorite (bought a board for my self). I never used a steering wheel in my life but I can already feel the car am driving just by using the keyboard while playing Need for Speed Underground all these years. I am currently pursuing my six months industrial attachment which is a requirement to apply for graduation at Fiji National University. My six months attachment started on the 27th of February and will end on the 29th of August 2025. If I perform well then I would be recommended for a permanent position. I am also trying to get a driving license. I am attaching under the Public Works Department which comes under The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities. I joined the Fleet team without prior working experience but only my four years mechanical engineering knowledge acquired at Fiji National University. I was introduced into MEX Maintenance Management Software which gave me another level of looking at the Fleet as a whole. It's already been two months and I think its worth it because, managing the maintenance of a fleet requires effort, creativity and patience. We adhere to standards recommended by manufacturers for our assets. The bigger picture is having a fleet that is healthy so that all works to be carried like maintaining roads, building bridges, building buildings or utilizing the fleet on specified projects are safely completed. In time, the Vanuatu Government is targeting sustainability so, we are doing our best to achieve this before 2030. Our little commitment is the country's biggest fight against climate change. I am very interested for an opportunity to be on the race track.Welcome to a special thread just for new members!

Welcome to GTplanet mate, enjoy your stay here.Hi everyone,
Almost new to the SIM racing. I've started to tinker with GT Sport offline races.
Welcome to GTPlanet mate, take care. Nice liveries/photos.Hi everyone,
I've been playing GT7 for a few months (a bit of GTS a few years ago) and somehow fell down the rabbit hole of making custom decals. Found GT planet while I was learning about creating svg files, etc.
I am a long time fan of the Yakuza (aka Like a Dragon/Ryugagotoku) series. Below are some decals from the Yakuza games I have made and shared in GT7. You can find them (and some others) by searching for keyword "yakuza".
Cheers

Welcome mate... have fun!Hello.
I am 59 yrs old, from UK and have been playing racing games since PS1 was new. So a few years.
Currently using a PS4, can’t afford a PS5, so forgive me and have played ALL of the GT Series and the Tourist Trophy game that was the motorbike equivalent of GT !
I’m a biker so used to love Tourist Trophy , especially racing on The ‘Ring on a Yoshimura Hayabusa! ( I ride a 1999 Hayabusa in REAL LIFE!! )
I use a standard PS4 controller, no wheel for me sadly!!
Found this site when looking for a guide on any updates of tracks, I miss Silverstone!
I am excited to play online, as I do not at the moment but is this possible on my PS4?
Thanks,
Dave” Stiggy” Parker.
