I found GTPlanet whilst trying to navigate Discord, I am glad I came accross it now! I am 62 and from Scotland but live in Cumbria now, I have played racing games as far back as the Amiga 500, but got seriously into it last year when I purchased GT7, then got the Logitech G923 wheel, progressed at got a Playseat, really loving it but don’t think I am getting any better. Tried the daily races and keep getting punted on lap one.

Hi everyone!
I found GTplanet while looking for info on GT7
I'm in France, and I'm 52 years old.
I started playing car games in 79, on arcade with "Sprint", "Pole position" and "Rally X", passing by "Out Run", then GT1 and 2 on ps1, and resumed directly on GT7
I use a joystick, that avoids that I confuse with real driving ;)
I also like fighting games, especially the Tekken and Smashbros series.
I really like the shared tuning on the different cars, it's very useful to do your own tuning.
See you soon

Hello, I am Racer Ex , aka Michael. I'm 65 and I have always been a race fan. Not so much for the left turners but kudos to them also.
I have been playing the Gran Turismo franchise from 2 forward. I have actually used GT Planet many times but never considered joining.
GT Planet is the everything for Gran Turismo information. I consider myself a solid silver driver as I only play with a standard controller.
I live in California close to Infinion Raceway near Sonoma Ca. Would love to see that great corse returned to Gran Turismo.
I look forward to still learning everything I can about sim driving and tuning possible.
Thanks Jordan

Hello,
I am Thomas, from the UK/France, and usually go by the name "Cnode" online.
I found GT Planet online thanks for search engines, looking for tips and setups to improve my driving on GT Sport and GT7.
I started playing "racing" games in 1997 on Mario Kart on N64 (not sure this really counts!), playing against my father at the time. I then swapped my N64 with a friend for a PS1 and tried GT and have been hooked since then!
I play with a wheel: the T598 (still waiting on this load cell pedal upgrade!). I mostly play GT7 online these days. Sometimes good adventure with deep narration games too like Baldur's Gate 3 and clair obscur expedition 33.
Looking forward to keep learning thanks to this community.
Thanks

Welcome to the GTplanet clubhouse mate, there are plenty of people and communities to meet here. So, check it out!

I am Mr. Midnight. I’ve been in the racing game community for quite a while and decided to join here to hopefully be more involved with the community, and to find help for searching for rare racing game content.
Hope to have great chats with you all in the future!

Hi everyone, I'm Dan
  • How did you find GTPlanet? Google/Reddit
  • Where are you from? Manchester, UK
  • When did you start playing racing games? Played offline for years, just getting into online racing
  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use? Not currently, once budget eases a little I'm thinking a G29 or T300 initially.
  • What other games do you enjoy? Full variety.
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? Getting involved in a few different races. Only problem is fitting around kids, etc but I'll figure it.

Have you played gt7 yet? They have tutorials and events for beginners. There is also the driving school/license tests you can take to practice on your driving skills. Some gold medals are hard to achieve though.

Yeah I've been playing 'Sport' mode the last few days but I was meaning something more than the daily shunt-fests. Most multiplayer lobbies seem pretty barron

What's up everyone. I just found GTplanet while looking at GT7 info online. I've played racing games sporadically but just decided I want to get into them a little more now. I live in Illinois, play on a controller for the time being and don't really have a preference in games, just depends on how I feel at the time lol. Looking forward to meeting some new people and learning the game a little more with your guys' help.
